Black powder fiels cleaning kit,

"DO NOT buy this kit for use with 44 pistols.
The rods are NOT interchangeable. The handle fits on only one rod section, and none of the cleaning brushes, jags, etc, will fit in any section except one.
So, to clean an 8" barrel, the shortest rod that can be assembled is about 16" inches long. Very cumbersome.
The jags will not fit into a 44 cal barrel.
I don't know if Cagela's sells a pistol cleaning kit, but this Field Cleaning kit, for pistols, is a waste of money."

"Seems well enough made but too short for my Pennsyvania rifle with 42 inch barrel so I had to buy a separate kit. Also uses 3 different threads which makes it a bit confusing the first time one uses it."

"I bought this more so for the range rod than anything. The rod itself is a very nice 4 piece, heavy rod. The fact that it comes with .45 and .50 brushes and tips is nice and the pouch has pockets for extra supplies. I'm very happy with this kit and think for the money it is an excellent buy."

"This kit is really nice to take along when going out in the
field. I have added a few more attachments to this kit
that didn't come with it, but for a quick cleaning it works
well. I didn't give it the 5 stars only for the reason that I
had to purchase the extra attachments. The bag has the
pockets to put in the extra attachments, so room is not a
problem. Cabela's should think of adding a few more
attachments and few more cleaning patches as well.....
Worth purchasing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

"thank you again for another great must have tool.If you shot or hunt with black power you need this cleaning kit. i shot about 100 rounds a month with my t,c prohunter and i take the kit to the rang with me. the rod is very heavy brass and will not bend the handle is just as heavy. you can't bet the coast of this cleaning kit. the bag keep everything very quite in my back pack. thank you cabelas"
