"I use Truglo sights on a couple other weapons, but this was simply poorly designed. The sight does not tighten down square with the barrel due to the threaded component. This morning, I had to tighten it down after boat travel and two shots into my teal hunt, lost it in the marsh. For those who want to purchase this, do yourself a favor and glue the sight a threaded component and allow to dry (gorrilla glue or similar) prior to threading on your barrel."

"While very satified with the replacement bead sight, the threads seemed to line up so that the bead never sat perfectly parallel to the sides of the barrel, either that or the threads pushed too far inside the barrel while the bead was still loose. Ended up filing the stud down and stripping the threads to make a threadless post then Gorilla glued the thing on after hours or messing around with it."

Fiber sight good but universal mounting screw not.,December 7, 2008

"Truglo Optical sights are great products, however I didn't like the interchangeable mounting screws on the Universal Truglo. They are very tiny and difficult to install. On the new Browning Gold the screw was not long enough to screw fully into the Truglo sight and securely into the bead hole on the rib. Also this Truglo sight was too long and extended past the end of the rib on the new Browning Gold. I removed it and installed it on a Charles Daly youth and it worked fine on it since the bead hole was farther back and threads not as deep. I would recommend the TruGlo® Starbrite™ Deluxe that comes with the screw stud already installed for your model gun and it is shorter so it should not stick out past the end of the rib. You will also need some "Loctite" to hold it securely in place."

"Bought this sight for my Ruger Red Label 12ga. Installed so easy I could not believe it. I did use just a drop of Purple Lock Tite to make sure it stays put. Picks up a clay target fast, not to big. And it looks good too!! I will buy another for my Remington 870."

"I put one of these on my double gun. It kind of takes away the traditional look of the gun, but it is definatly easier to pick up on targets with this bead. It's almost as if your eye is drawn to the bead. This is a nice addition to any wingshooter's shotgun."
