Not only does this ultimate chronograph measure velocity, but it also performs a number of
calculations pertaining to your load that will improve your shooting performance. Its built-in printer
and computer use your chronograph data to calculate the optimal 100-yard zero for your gun and load.
Once you've set your zero accordingly, the unit will print out a bullet-drop table that will even correct
for altitude and temperature. The chronograph's internal library contains data for nearly every bullet
now in production. It will also store string and velocity data for your loads so you can download them to
your PC for later analysis. In addition to velocity, it computes downrange energy, momentum, Taylor
knock-out, windage information and even recoil for your load. The display uses the MKVI Skyscreen
System. Backed by a limited lifetime warranty. Made in USA.

Chronograph,September 30, 2009
By HappyCustomer10from Texas
"I recently purchased this chronograph after researching the various brands. After looking at what this system comes with, and pricing the other brands, I when with the PACT. I like the brand and trust them to put out quality. I couldn't be happier with the chronograph. I have used it to chronograph various loads, calculate trajectory of various loads and to determine power factor for some of my competition loads. I like and very pleased with it at this point."

Nothing but problems,July 9, 2009
By Dwsdwfrom Texas
"Thought this would be the perfect chrony. Used it the first few times and it worked great. Then like everyone else who has ever owned one, it just quite working. Would get the 'no start signal' problem. If it ever would read it would not print and would reboot itself over and over. Contacted Pact...sent it in for repair. Got it back 3 months later and exact same problem. Wondering if they even looked at it. Trying to get in contact with them again to send it in for another 3 months. Searching for a different manufacture now."

By badboy41200from GREENE CO. PA
"this chrono was exactly what i was looking for,had all the features i was looking for. ordered it,set it up & chrono'd 2-3 guns/loads with it. worked near perfect, put it away for several months, got it back out,set it up, display read "fire when ready!". so i fired, then it read "no start signal". to make a long story short it never did read bullet speed again. tried to contact manufacturer & the phone rang off the hook with no answer!!!!,for like several weeks. finaly contacted cabelas & their excellent customer service made it right for me. I WOULD NOT RECCOMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ABSOLUTLY ANYONE."

worst purchase in long time if ever,August 31, 2008
By ejones338from montana
"I have not received an accurate reading yet. I have tried all weather conditions with screens on and off.
I first tried with sons paintball gun, but didn't receive a reading at all. I thought maybe it was a lack of velocity, so I waited through the winter and have now tried it with a known velocity on my bow and received anywhere from 60 to over 2000 fps velocity, usually it will not read at all. I'm not stupid, I have tried everything. It is junk, and I cannot recommend. Buy a cheaper product, it will be better.
The bad thing is that I was so sure after reviewing at the time that this was the right one. I was excited to receive the best. That was far from the case in this incident."

PACT Chronograph,August 5, 2008
By jfox2from Hermitage, PA
"I ordered the new PACT chronograph because I was afraid my old PACT Chronograph was going to break one of these days - it is about thirteen years old and works great! The only complaint I have with my old one is that it doesn't retain the information when shut off. I purchased this new one because of the constant memory. I am having difficulty getting proper readings and sometimes any reading with the new one. In calls to PACT, they have said that in bright overhead sunlight the light overwhelms the very sensitive sensors. Their recommendation has been to rotate the system 90 degrees so the defusers are in the 3 o'clock position. I was going to attempt this yesterday but the area to shoot through is very narrow and I was afraid I might hit the defusers or the supports. I also purchased and just received the infrared system and I am going to try that next."

Very Poor Users Manual,November 8, 2007
By Disapointed10from Arizona
"I just purchased this chrono & have not used it in the field as of yet but already don't like it. The "Owners Manual" is terrible at best. Very little information on the unit including how to change the printing paper or what paper to buy, no information on how to connect it to a PC and the PC cable is a pin connector instead of a USB. The manual says that they have been making chronos for 20 years but the manual looks like they started yesterday! Factory support appears to be poor at best. I've called them numerous times with no answer. There is no email address for them in the manual. I have received exceptional customer support from the other manufacturer. I own another manufacturers chrono that is accurate but a littler cumbersome to haul around and set up. I wanted to use this one for handguns & was hoping this one would be better. I hope I like it better when I shoot bullets through it. If not it's on it's way back to Cabelas."

Not getting of to a good start,July 13, 2007
By Ezgoing1from North Carolina
"tried it the first time and it would not pick up my shoots. Called the factory and ordered an Infa Red detection system, will see how that does. That way there does not have to be a lighting problem. And the guy was nice and did tell me to keep the wires apart so that there would not be any type of interference between them, ( use better insulated wires). will add on more once the new toy get here."

"First time out it would not work called pact! problem was I had taped two sencer wires togather manual made on mention of not to do that. after correcting that problem it printed one string of 20 and went haywire. Sent it back to pact after contacting representative rep seemed a little short. After three weeks it was returned. Taking it out for the second time it displayed right but when I tryed to print it went haywire. I am returning it for and nother one to give it a second chance"
