Learned a lot about decapping,

"For those who break a lot of pins I have one thing to say. You're doing something wrong. This is the voice of experience because I know I was and I broke a lot of pins before I figured out what I was doing wrong. When you break pins every 10-50 rounds one day and none on 500 another you're doing something wrong. This product and this company are awesome. RCBS could teach a lot of American company's what customer service is all about. Buy this die, learn how to set it up and you will not be sorry. Clean brass saves seizer dies. Put a rag under it to catch the removed primers or they will be all over the floor."

Easy Primer Removal,

"This decapping die works great. Between me and my son we were able remove the primers in 720 300 Win Mag shells in about Two and a half hours. Without having to change the decapping pin. It was an easy project."

"Decapped all my hand gun shells, haven't tried the rifle yet but don't expect any problem. Works well. Enables me to decap then tumble without having to run the shell through the sizer of my die set."

"I bought this item to help out with a couple thousand once fired .223 brass my cousin got from a military auction. The brass was filthy and I wanted it cleaned before resizing so I purchased this baby and have never regretted it. I have decapped 1,800 rounds with it and have not one problem with my pin, just follow the directions its not rocket sience and you should have no problems."

"The decapping pin broke on the 15th case, I had to e-mail RCBS (customer service were very helpful) and they sent me 5 free pins and a new rod. Tried to process some more brass but the pins kept on breaking.
EXTREMELY BAD DESIGN! They should either use a stronger metal for the pins or re-design the product. This product does not work, period.
I'm throwing this die in the trash and getting the Lee die, becuause of the following statement: "The Decapper is guaranteed unbreakable by Lee and even removes crimped in primers and accepts cases up to .550 in diameter."
Enough said."

"The decapping pin broke on the 12th casing. Very disappointing from an otherwise great product line. I later found where I could buy replacement pins. Almost like they're expecting them to break."

"40 years of reloading never broke a decaping pin, just now ordered 6 pins for thr decaper! Only decaped 5 cases and broke the pin, on top of that the pin is spring loaded, throws primers all over the room! When the replacements come I will rwmove the spring and try again?"

"Do not order this product without ordering a couple of bags of headed decaping pins. I bent the pin on the very first shell! Had to wait a week & pay extra freight charge. It should be shipped with extra pins in the first place.
The rod that suports the decapping pin is so long with no neck support you have to be very carefull or you will poke a hole in the shell beside the primer instead of knocking the primer out."

"I purchased the HD version of the RCBS Decapping die. I use a Rock Crusher JR press, and the pin would not center to the primer pocket. I was not pleased with the three piece construction of the decapping pin assembly for the internal spring caused the spent primers to bounce out of the press and all over the floor. Upon the first round of use, I bent the decapping pin and crushed the little spring due to the inherent mis-alignment. (Remington 30-06 cases). I would recommend staying with the old style decapping pin, as I finished my run of 147 cases with out any trouble with the old style die."
