Drops them in their tracks!,November 20, 2009
By Anonymousfrom East Grand Forks, MN
"I have been deer hunting with the typical, average-priced, 100Gr softpoint ammunition in my .243 for years. I've never had a deer travel more than 25 yds after being shot, but this year I splurged and bought this premium ammo. It's worth every penny! I shot two does over 120lbs, one at 60yds the other at 40 yds. Both were double lung shots and dropped the deer where they stood. Upon field dressing the deer I noticed that both deers' lungs were entirely destroyed. No lungs=No Breath=No Running"

"This ammunition is awesome . I am using this in my Browning White Gold Medillion 7MM rem Mag. 160 grains . It took me about 6 shots to get totally sited in with a less than one inch group at 100 yards . I have taken Two shots since then and have dropped two big bucks in there tracks . One eleven Pointer that dressed 220 lbs at 190 yards on the run . And a 10 pointer that dressed 149 at 80 yards standing still . Both Bucks were just devistated by these Bullets. Very good combination for this gun with these bullets. I would Highly recommend these to all."

"I bought this ammo for my Savage .300 Win. Mag. Hands down the best I've purchased. I've killed two white tail deer and a cow elk at various distances. None took a single step after being shot! Nuff said."

Awsome Ammunition,October 19, 2009
By justinrawr
"I have this ammo in 150 grain for my .270 WSM bought this ammo performed exellent, i do not see any flaws. i killed a two point mule deer this year at maybe 30 yards(got lucky) facing me so all i saw was his chest, the bullet went in just right of the windpipe and found the heart part of a lung and destoryed the liver before exiting almost double the diameter of the entry wound."

Review 8 for Winchester XP3 Supreme Elite Rifle Ammunition
"When I bought my Browning BAR Safari in .300 Win Mag I couldn't wait to shoot it. I went out and bought several boxes of varios ammo...Hornady, Remington and Federals in different weights. I was so disappointed I almost took the rifle back. Smallest groups, if you want to call them that, were 8+ inches @ 100 yards. I then tried a box of Winchester CXP3's in 180 grain and it improved dramatically. Later that year the new XP3 Supreme Elite came out and I got a box of them. Between the new ammo, getting the BOSS tuned in and a new Burris scope, it is now deadly accurate. I won't ever waste my money on any other ammo for it or any other calibers that are included in the XP3 lineup. I'd give them more stars if I was able."

Xp3's+Tikka T3 .243=wow,October 1, 2009
By wisconsinhunter360from Crawford County, WI
"I recently bought a Tikka T3 chambered in .243. After breaking in the barrel I put this gun through the wringer. I shot several different brands and model bullets through it; I was trying to find out which bullet the gun would most accurately shoot. Bottom line, I wish I would have started out trying the Xp3's because they blew everything away. My worst 4 shot group at 100 yds measured .43 inches with these shells. WOW. At 200 yd my worst group measured 1.05 inches.
Consequently, if you buy a Tikka T3 chambered in .243 I'd recommend saving yourself a lot of time and money; go buy some of these rounds for your gun. You'd be hard pressed to hand load shells that would shoot better than this. These shells are a little expensive but they are worth it."

.308 Tack-Driver!,September 9, 2009
By northernwhitetailchaserfrom Thunder Bay, ON
"I recently bought a box of the XP3's for my .308 WIN in 150 grain. I have shot 8 shells at 100 yards after sighting in my new scope, all shots were within a 2 inch group shooting freehand. Very Accurate! I was also shooting some Remington 180 grain softpoint and had approx. a 6-8 inch group. Not even a comparison! Not to mention the ballistics of this shell are extremely flat shooting, even for a .308 WIN.
All-in-all the XP3 is shooting great for me and hunting buddies have had awesome success in the field with this load. Strongly reccomended!"

Works well for me,August 23, 2009
By Alpofrom Washington state
"Shot the last three deer with these things. All of them over two hundred yards with my .30-06 and one with my .300 WSM. Stuff is as serious as a heart attack for me. Nice clean quick kills. Don't know how they do at the range or anything. I just know they do a good job dropping animals fast."

XP3's Accuracy,August 1, 2009
By COMulieSlayerfrom Colorado
"I shoot these out of my Remington 700 chambered in .270 and love these bullets. 1" groups consistently. Wife shot a deer quartering towards her and had a complete pass through at 125 yds. Normally use 150 gr core-lokts but the ballistics on the XP3's blow the core-lokt out of the water."

Nice Stuff,July 19, 2009
By Tobinskifrom UP of Michigan
"Went to range the other day and shot a 3 shot group in my 308 Featherweight. All were touching. Read some bad reviews on this ammo and out my gun they shot well. The best out of all the other ammo I tryed. Shot a deer last fall in shoulder bone at 84 yards and deer only went 5 yards. I now got 50 rounds from Cabelas to last me for a few years. Thank You Winchester and Cabelas for offering such a fine Product!"

One of the Minority,February 19, 2009
By BEMcGfrom North Texas
"Judging by the other reviews, maybe this ammo has good days and bad days. Seems to perform well for some and not so well for others. My son used this ammo in his Rem. 700 .270. This rifle normally groups loads from Federal, Winchester and Remington consistently under 1" without a problem. The XP3 would not group better than 1 1/2". He used it hunting in south Texas for hogs and Nilgai antelope. He shot a 550 lb. Nilgai bull at approx. 50 yards through the upper shoulder. (Nilgai have hide approx. 1/2" thick and are very heavy-muscled) The bullet failed to expand; the entrance and exit were the same size. Luckily, the shot knocked the bull over long enough for a follow-up shot in the neck He also shot several medium hogs (80-140 lbs.) with broadside pass-thrus and no bullet expansion."

"I have been using this ammo in my Tika T3 30-06 rifle (stainless/synthetic) and it is incredibly accurate. I'm able to shoot 1.5 inch groups at 200 yds!! I love this stuff. It really lets you reach out there and touch something!!"

perfect,February 7, 2009
By RugersOnlyPleasefrom Moses Lake, WA
"I read a lot of bad reviews about these supreme elite bullets. most of the bad ones talk about how they can't get a good grouping. What they are not remembering is that just because they work great with my ruger, they might stink out of my buddies remington. So just because you can't get a good grouping out of your rifle does not mean that they are a bad bullet, just your rifle does not like them. I have had nothing but great success out of these Winchester bullets, and every deer I have shot with one of these little beauties have dropped dead right in there tracks. They do exactly what they were designed to do, kill fast, effectivly, and humanly. Just what I want out of a bullet. So give these bullets a try if your rifle likes them, and more often than not it will, congratulations you get the privelage of shooting possible the best bullet in the market. If your rifle does not like it and shoots all over, don't fault the bullet and give it a bad false review, just try another brand. ENJOY THE HUNT!"

Would Not Group,February 7, 2009
By smd189
"I just took my new Sako A7 to the range. I had an old box of Hornady 150gr SST's, and a new box of 180 grain XP3's. I wanted to use the XP3's as my hunting round, so I figured I would try to get it close with the Hornady's and then switch over.
After 2-3 shots with the Hornady's, I was shooting touching shots every shot. I then switched over to the XP3's. First shot was about 6 inches right of where the Hornady's were hitting. I adjusted the scope, and hit dead center with the second shot. Figuring I was now zeroed, I shot my third shot which was low and 3" left. Shot four was high of center. Shot 5 was right again. I would say, 3-4" groups would be lucky with this ammo out of one of the most accurate out of box rifles made.
