"Powerflex is my go-to tippet material when I'm not using fluorocarbon. I use the 3x when throwing poppers for smallmouth and 4x for larger dry flies for big trout. The color is fairly neutral so far as I can tell, and it provides just enough stretch while still holding quality knots. The spools themselves snap together easily and stay that way, and the band around the spool is quality as well. You can't go wrong with Rio."

"I have used this tippet material for years. Great stuff. The industry standard. Very convenient spool design (spools snap together) and line distribution system (through hole in elastic band) too. All I use anymore..."

"For the price, this stuff is fine. I used it for 4 days in a really tough environment with lots of snags and rocks, which isn't where it's at its best. But even there, it did OK. Just change it fairly frequently."

"This tippet is well worth the money. I've used the 6x and 7x tippets for quite some time now and I can't be more pleased. The line is very strong and somewhat stretchy for good knot strength, and that extra flex really helps when your fighting that big kicking trout on the other end. And since it has a nice small diameter those fish will never see it coming!"
