"The net requires a weight in the ctr. When first used the sides turned inside out. After making moderfactions by tieing the sides of the net to the frame it worked OK."

"The edges of the net that go up and around do tend to fold over when you pull it up. Not to big of a deal since the one I had as a kid didn't even have those."

"Try putting a weight in the center like an 8oz it helps a great deal and does not fold over on it self and it is easier to use in 4to6 feet of water"

"I tried many times to get the umbrella to stay open in use and can't do it. The net always folds over on itself. I wouldn't recommend it."

Worked Great-for a while,

"The net performed wonderfully for about an hour. After that, just pulling on the rope through the water made the metal clasp in the center collapse, and the whole thing was trashed. It needs to be built more sturdy."

"This Dropnet does come in handy & works.The problem with this product is if you try to retrieve it to fast,it will come apart at the ring.If you will take the time to put an extra weld on the ring,the arms will stay in & work perfect."

"Net
was useless as the four corners would not stay open when it was dropped
into the water, hence, you could never catch bait fish with it. I had
to modify it and add two crossbars across the top to hold the four
corners open at all time. Of course, it would no longer colapse up for
storage after I had to modify it."

"The problem with this equipment is that the drop net doesn't stay opened as it descends into the water. It probably needs weighted ends which I will try next time out to keep it open."
