Doesn't Look Like Picture, July 20, 2008

"This only concerns one color combination. All others I ordered looked like the picture shown on the web site but Junebug Chartreuse Tail isn't at all like the picture. And it is not one I would have ordered. It has a solid Junebug color body with the last 1" of the tail solid chartreuse. This color combination, solid with tail end solid, has never been a good one for me although someone else may love it. I like the laminated blended color combinations, like the other color combinations shown, a lot better."

"I tried this product as a teaser above my jig while ground fishing on cashes ledge in the Gulf of Maine 100 miles offshore late in the summer. I was one of the high hooks on the boat and I believe it was due to this product. The cod and pollock wouldn't hit a jig because of the large ocean swells so I put the sand striker eal on both hooks of the dropper rig with a 24 oz sinker to hold bottom and picked up a good catch of haddock & three wolf fish that were holding tight to the bottom. I tipped the hook with a strip of clam and outfished everyone on the stern. I also hooked up with numerous pollock while on the drop that took the bait at blazing speed."

"Purchased The Sand Eel in 4 different colors, enjoyed great success with them on San Diego Bay, drifting them across the bottom. Spotted Bass hit them hard and often. Caught and released 20+ Spotties in a little more than 4 hours on the water. Rigged them on 1/2 oz. jigheads in yellow and red. Epic day on the bay, congrats on the nice products."
