Perfect Product, August 4, 2009
By RSAT from Vallejo, Ca.

"I am using this on an 8 foot net. We found it to be very easy to assemble and use. I do not understand how anyone could have had any trouble at all. Just read and follow the instructions that are simple, easy to understand and very well illustrated. I liked the tight fit of the parts shows it should not come apart during use I think this is a plus. After we finished assembly and instalation I shook the net down gathered it up and made my first throw in the back yard it was near perfect, I practiced a couple more times again no problem. We went fishing the next day and was able to practice out of my boat, again no problem throwing from inside my boat or up on the bow the net opened every time in a full circle pluse I was able to throw farther. Very Highly Recommended."

Easy Bait, July 14, 2009
By FishingnTennessee from Nashville, Tn

"This thing is great. I have reduced my bait catching time by half now that I can throw a larger net while standing in thigh-deep water. The instructions for installation were a little confusing until I read them through for the third time, but installation was easy once I got into it. I have already recommended it to friends and am going to get another one for one of my other nets."

Finally a gadget that works, June 29, 2009
By Danrich from Florida

"I just finished installing the perfetc Cast Net Thrower on my 8' bait net. While the directions said it takes ten minutes it actually took closer to an hour. I slowly installed the devise and closely followed the directions.

I then went into the front hard and success a perfect throw atfer three attempts. It is critical to success to make sure, as depicted in the video, to have the blue device all the way to the bottom of the net; where the weights are almost touching the bottom of the disk.

Then throw it like a frisbee and it opens every time.

Disappointed, May 27, 2009
By Grounhog from Alabame

"Guess I am not as well coordinated as others....Found this item hard to install and harder to use. It would not balance as it was supposed to. I worked with it for an hour after installation (another hour). If you have solid patience, you might be able to get it done, but not me."

First throw=2 bushel bait, February 2, 2009
By tomfencer

"After asembling the net, I threw it twice in my backyard and gained immediate confidence that I could catch bait.
Two weeks later I went to a reservoir I had never visited. The attendant pointed out an inlet pipe in a little cove that wasn't accessible by boat. He lent us a bucket and we hiked the 60 yards to a place at the back of the cove that had the baitfish stacked up. I had to throw the net from the shore with brush all around. It was quite easy to get it out toward the middle of the cove. I let it sink the 3 feet to the bottom. This was my very first attempt at catching live bait with a net. To my amazement the net was very heavy with herring, gizzard shad, white perch, bluegill and crappie. We got all the herring and gizzard shad we wanted, then hurried to empty the net and return the rest to the water. I threw 3 more times to the edge of the school just to gain more experience and each time was a perfect circle.
Suggestion: prior to pushing the 3 pieces of the circle together to lock them in place, take your pocket knive and shave a little off of each of the "male" ends to create a little taper. I found the pieces extremely difficult to lock together until I shaved them down, in fact I broke 2 of the spokes before I thought of the tapering idea. But even with the 2 missing spokes it still throws perfect circles.

Helps me cast with the best, April 28, 2008
By RamsFan from St Louis, Missouri

"I fish at Lake Norfork in Arkansas and often go out with local guides to help catch bait.

When they first saw the Perfect Cast Net Thrower device on my net, I caught a lot of grief.

However, after they saw how well (and how far) I can throw the net with the PCN, I made believers out of them.

It does take a little time and attention for the initial set up, but once installed, it will be well worth the time spent as you will be more successful catching bait by having a fully opened cast net every time you throw.

Probably best with a 6 or 7 foot (8 foot max) net.

Not too bad..., March 10, 2008
By Roeman from Staunton, VA

"It takes a while to get the ring on correctly (I'm an Engineer and had a hard time...my wife did it in 15 minutes...go figure)

I can throw a regular net ok, but wanted to give this a try on an 8' AHI - sure enough, first throw came out in a perfect circle about 18' away... Follow the instructions closely, and use tape to attach the line to the "spines" - then, it's darn easy...

Perfect accessory!, April 14, 2007
By ShawnP from Mason NH

"I bought an 8' cast net two years ago. I started trying to throw in my yard and was having a lot of trouble. Before I could perfect my technique I injured my shoulder in a dirt bike wreck. It kept me from practicing throwing the net since it uses a lot of shoulder action. When I saw the perfect circle net thrower video on their web site, I bought one. First throw - perfect. Attaching to the net was very easy and I really love it. I had lost my directions and was happy to find directions and videos on their web site. If you are having any trouble throwing your cast net, I would highly reccommend buying one of these! Tight lines.

easily throw a full circle, November 27, 2006
By kenja

"A friend of mine told me about the Perfect cast net thrower; so I purchased one and put it on my new 6 foot net. I had never thrown a 6 foot cast net before and even had trouble throwing a 4.5 foot net. The first throw with my new net was almost a perfect circle! I even amazed myself. I believe anyone could do the same thing. It is so easy to throw.

My friend has a 7 foot net with a thrower and I could even throw his net easily.

If you want to catch bait and have difficulty throwing a large net; this thrower is for you.
