don't waste your money,
October 24, 2009
By kapfish

"You can get a decent net for this price just not here. poorly made all the way around the wood is poorly finished with lots of wood putty the net could come undone with the first fish and the eye hook on the end of the handle is just a piece of bent metal jammed in it fell right out. if I could rate in negative stars i would have. COMPLETE GARBAGE!"

Garbage,
August 15, 2009
By DirtMachine
from Fort Collins, CO
|
"I'm sorry, this net is garbage. I respect Cabela's, but this is ridiculous. I am not exaggerating either. The net material is garbage, the net is sewed together in the place where the fish should go, and the threads are garbage. The wood is garbage plywood, and the finish is no good. It is borderline embarrassing, and as a novice angler, I think I may be embarrassed to use this net. I am returning it tomorrow."

net,
August 5, 2009
By RoyalTrudesforever
from Colorado Springs, Colorado
|
"Say, My last net disappeared on the river. I dont' even know how or where, but it was a great net. I ordered another net but the net tore on the first day. Now, the tear in largely my fault, but I do allow my net to drag and it sometimes gets in the bushes. Sooo - not even unhappy, just letting you know in case the material in the current nets is a bit sub par. Anyhow, must move on - other stuff to order from Cabela's."

poor net design,
May 26, 2009
By FatherofBoones
|
"The handle and hoop design of the net are adequate. However, the "funnel-shape" of the net leaves much to be desired. There is not enough material in the net to gently cradle the fish. I would compare it to trying to land a fish in a cone."

Unreliable junk,
May 26, 2009
By DmoneyM
from Vancouver BC
|
"This net is not as advertised, and is of very poor quality. The mesh is a narrow pointy cone-shape, not at all like the picture, with poor stitching. The wood is poorly finished, extremely rough, and catches on the netting and clothing.
The mesh is disconnected from the hoop in several places and would not stand up to a single fish.
The metal ring and snap are a rusty bendable tin that won't last a day. I was pretty shocked at the shoddy workmanship, this will be going back ASAP. Pure junk."

Fishing net,
May 6, 2009
By Outdoorsimon

"Great traditional looking product, but I must admit I was very disapointed in the quality of the wood laminating and the finish of the woodwork. The net appera to be very robust and it is great having a truly traditional landing net with me when out fly fishing."

its a stretch...cord!,
May 4, 2009
By falsecast
from Northwest fly rodder...60 yrs of trout fishing
|
"A rough finish, no craftsmans pride here! But, servicable. Net bag too deep, though. Tied it off about half way, to better release these beautiful creatures. Don't use the stretch cord. The net will snag on brush, release, and hurt like ....when it hits you! Great price and value on sale!"
