"I purchased this jacket for a fly fishing trip on the Conejos River in Southern Colorado in mid July. This area can have daily afternoon rains and I did not want to get wet when the fishing was good. This jacket performed very well. It kept me dry and it was very breathable and comfortable through a good range of temperatures (50 to 80 F). The length of the jacket was just right and it has the right amount of room in the shoulders for casting. The storage areas were convienient and I could carry enough "stuff" for a day of fishing. I do agree with some of the other reviews concerning the hook and loop fabric on the sleeve getting caught on other areas of the jacket. This is easily fixable by purchasing a small amount of extra hook and loop fabric at the hobby store and covering the exposed loops with a custom cut strip.
This is a very good wading jacket for the money."

"I have been wearing my wading jacket to fish the Madison river this winter and early spring and it has worked very well for me. I've worn it in pretty cold temperatures with high winds. It has kept me totally dry and it keeps the wind out. The pockets are large enough for all the flies and tools I need for a day on the river and the cuffs keep water out even when releasing fish. The hand warmer pockets and hood are great as well. I had read the reviews before ordering my jacket and disagree with those folks who say it is too short in the torso.I'm probably a bit shorter than some fishers (5'6") and it fits me perfectly."

"Nice jacket...as per the other reviews, it is about 2" too short. Beats me why? It should also have zippers on the main front, flap pockets. There is no way you can take this jacket in a boat with only velcro pieces keeping your stuff from hitting the water. I wanted this jacket to be more versatile and really it should be with a little modification. So right now I'll wear it around the cabin and put stuff in the pockets that doesn't really matter!

"I bought this jacket for wading South Texas flats... I like the large pockets and the light, durable construction. The jacket is durable and has kept me dry in pouring rain. The arm cynches work as good as a premium SIMMS jacket. So far, I've waded about 60 hours with no tears, rips or zipper problems. Rinses off easily. So far so good!"

"This jacket is a great lighweight wading jacket. The neoprene cuffs are wonderful, and keep water out when wading in waist deep water just fine. I was in one of the worst storms in our area and stayed dry in this one.
The jacket looks great and is inexpensive for a waterproof breathable jacket backed by the Cabelas warranty.
The only thing I really disliked about the jacket was it was shorter than I liked, since I am 6'1" tall, I like em a little longer, so they can serve non-wading jacket duties too. But since it was such a good deal, I am fine with it.
The gathering straps at the head are kind of painful to use at first, since it seems they didn't put enough holes, but it may just be the newness of it is making it stiff still.
Overall, a good jacket!"

"This jacket is PVC and can get VERY HOT. The jacket would be better with a lining of somesort to promote air flow. Overall the jacket is well constructed and confortable. I had to use it the very first time I took it out and I was very impressed how easy the pockets were acess. If you don't mind wearing a sauna then this jacket is GREAT. The cuffs are a great feature, keeps you from soaking your sleeves. I would buy this again in a heart beat."

"This wading jacke it fairly comfortable, and offers good protection from rain and splashes in the water. The neoprene cuffs help keep water from running up/down ones arm after a dip into the water. The jacket provides no insulation, so an inner "warm" layer is required in cold weather conditions. The construction seems top rate - no apprent leakage around the seems. Elastic lines around the waist and in the hood allow for excellent adjustments for varying condidions."
