"Well constructed and holds just about everything you need to have to hand. I did, however, have to cut,drill, and glue on some wooden discs to fit onto the bottom of the 4 wooden dowels supplied. That way you get to use the 4 central bobbin holes effectively 'cos then the bobbins stacked on the dowels can't slip off past the discs - otherwise the holes are deep and bobbin retrieval is tricky."

"Excellent quality and value for anyone with a hobby or craft that could benefit from having an orderly and convenient place to store their tools. I particularly appreciate this product for all my fly tying tools. I live in a motorhome (RV) and when not fly tying I just pick up this handy little organizer and store all my tying tools on the bedroom vanity, well out of the way when we have guests or the wife just wants the place a little picked up. I really appreciate Cabela's providing quality product reviews. I knew from reading previous reviews that the center holes would have to be used for non-thread storage. There are several smaller holes towards the perimeter where I simply insert a wooden grilling skewer into each and stack six to eight spools of thread onto each skewer. Materials such as chenile etc. that comes in small ziplock plastic bags I simply slide down onto a skewer which allows me to stack (hanging over the edge of the caddy somewhat) several bags of materials. Walla!!! It doubles as a material storing caddy as well. Another great plus is the price. This caddy is very well constructed and the beautiful wood adds a richness to my tying desk. Who knows, that simple factor alone may transfer itself to the quality of the flies I tie."

"I've got to give this caddy 5 stars because it really organizes my tying tools nicely. I don't use the 4 middle holes to hold thread spools as the picture suggests is the design, the holes are too deep to retrieve the bottom spool..i placed some foam plugs in those holes and store my head cements there, the plugs elevate the cement bottles so the caps are above the surface and reachable. Other than that, all my tools have a home, there's plenty of empty holes left and since the caddy spins on a lazy susan, i keep the caddy at the back corner of my tying table , the front edge of it is within easy reach and can spin the caddy to find any tool in the caddy very easily and the caddy is well out of the way from the vise. You won't be disappointed with this purchase."

"This holds all of my fly tying tools with room to spare! The only thing I didn't like was the provision for storing thread and wire. There are four nice holes in the central region that will hold 3-4 spools each. But it is no easy task to get the spools near the bottom out. They do provide four wooden cylinders that will slide through the center of the spools. I cut out cardboard discs small enough so they would fit in the holes, put a hole in the center of the cardboard, then glued it onto the end of a cylinder. Now I can lift three spools at a time in and out of each hole. I'm not sure if that is what they intended, but it work for me."

"Plenty of tool spaces. Varied sizes. Substantial piece of wood. I turned it into a 5 star product by gluing 1" disks on the bottom of the thread holders in the center to make them more user friendly. You might even want to use thread dowels that are a little longer. Very happy with the product particularly getting it on sale."
