Disappointed and lost,December 13, 2008
By yamaha48from Rosemount, MN
"I love Garmin GPS units – I have three. When the maps needed updating, Garmin advised I needed the non-NT version so I went to Cabela’s and found that the pic for item IJ-227938 (the non-NT version) is actually the same pic shown for the NT version (item XJ-523239). I used “live chat” to get clarification (very nice feature). So I bought the non-NT version. The fun started when I tried to load the software over the older version of the maps onto the PC. After many tries and live chat with Garmin, the instructions didn’t work. Having found another PC to load the maps, the next frustration was the unlock code. Then when I wanted additional unlock codes for the other two units, Garmin’s instructions didn’t work. Finally, Garmin gave me the price and source for add’l codes. Too much. Cabela’s graciously refunded the costs. I do not know what I’m going to do for map updates. Luv them unlock codes!! But THANK YOU Cabela’s."

Garmin City Navigator,February 20, 2008
By Bodhifrom San Diego, CA
"Great product, works well in turning your handheld into a road navigator. With automatic recalculate, even if you miss a turn, you will be heading in the right direction and your Garmin will beep at you to let you know.
The only negative thing I found is that the family likes to go off the beaten path quite a bit, and this map set tends to override any other map set you have loaded (I may have settings not right), so anytime we are on back trails or 4 wheeling, I have to shut off the map view of city navigator in order to see camping roads, 4 wheel drive trails, or many other landmarks. However, city Navigator does exactly what it's title says, it Navigates you around the City."

fun, fun, fun,May 4, 2007

"My family is having a really fun time with our new GPS! We now know how fast the "brisk" walk really is as well as just how far we've gone. All of this is possible because of the map that lets the GPS know where we are. On a recent trip to Florida, we were in a location unknown to us. We told the GPS to take us back to the motel (a waypoint). We got there in no time, using roads we didn't know existed. This device and the map are wonderful"

Great product,April 2, 2007

"Works with new Vista but registering it to work can be tricky. Best to use a training CD if you want to maximize all the features and bypass the trial and error method of learning."

Amazing map detail,March 27, 2007
By GerryHamiltonNY
"On the Garmin GPSMAP 76, this product allows you to set up an "autoroute" that shows the way to your destination. Very nice and easy to follow. If you decide to build a route yourself with "via" points or waypoints, you can, but when using the Garmin Mapsource on your PC I have one caution. Be sure to zoom in on the map to less than a mile scale so you can accurately place your waypoints. This allows you to place the waypoint on a main road in the waypoint city. Otherwise the waypoint may end up on a side street and the GPS will direct you to the side street. Overall an excellent product that is consistent with Garmin's reputation."

Garmin DVD,November 21, 2006
By Travis101350from Bushnell, Fl
"Product was very hard to get installed, unlocked. then booted up, But after much help with Garmin on line it's ok.
Think there should be a booklet and phone number with a real person to talk to for the money that is charged for this item!
Once I got it up and running it is really useful and kind of intersting."

Planning a Road Trip?,November 21, 2006
By SFCTimfrom FOB Paliwoda, Iraq
"If you are planning a Road Trip then this product is a must have. There is so much useful information packed into this DVD that you will no longer need to carry a bulky paper map. Tourism guides forget them; next exit trip computers forget them as well. The Garmin City Navigator combined with your Garmin GPS will get you from door to door and either avoid the tourist traps or stop and enjoy them all along the way. I can't even begin to describe how much time this DVD has saved me. I no longer need to surf all the other sites to find what I'm looking for about a particular area. I now pull out my GPS and find it in a matter of seconds. Thank you Garmin, for putting so much useful information into this great DVD."
