"It works pretty well with the exception that the right turning control button apparently became stuck and the motor turned continuously until I unplugged the motor. When I pushed the button several times and replugged the motor, it worked ok. I definitely like the hand control better than the foot control as it is more sensitive and easier to operate."

"This unit works great, the only thing I have a problem with is if there was a clip or a attachement that would mount to my fishing rod. With this inplace I could control my electric motor with a touch of a button rather than take it out of my pocket or trying to grab the strap that it comes with to change directions or speed."

Handy remotes to have available,

"Ordered 2 of these remotes for my Motorguide Wireless trolling motor. Easy to use, and very handy to have around when you are not within easy reach of the foot control. One of the remotes had a dead battery when it arrived. Upon removing/replacing the battery, I noticed the original battery appeared to have been removed and replaced many times, as evidenced by all the scratches on the battery. Not sure what that was all about, but it leads me to believe that the unit may have been a returned item that was re-stocked (packaging had clear plastic tape on it). With a fresh battery, the remotes work perfectly. Especially helpful when the person on the foot control is busy fighting a fish, or changing lures. Partner can use the hand-held remote to control the motor as needed."

"I found the fob to work better than the foot wireless control, it seems to have a better response. The range seems to be around 50 feet if you have a boat that long. Wish it had some kind of wristband where it would be more accessible."

"This thing is great when fishing alone on a windy day, you can fish from anywhere in the boat. Or you can give it to the back of boat fisherman to take control when you're working a fish.
Just make sure you unplug the motor if you keep it in your pocket and sit down, you can active the controls, would be nice if it had a "lock" on the fob."
