"In the past i tried to set my rod on my lap while paddling my kayak. After i almost lost my rod into the depths of Mosquito Lake i ordered the Cabela's quick draw. It has worked fantastic and it was easily installed."

"While I like the holders(I bought two), please note there are different types and these can only be mounted where there is access underneath by way of a hatch. If no access you will need another mounting system. Good fishing to all!"

Cabela's Flush mount rod holder 360 HT on Jet Ski,

"Mounted on a Kawasaki Jet Ski. I was looking for a quality rod holder to use on a 3 person Jet Ski. These worked out great. I was able to remove the two rear cargo net anchor points, one from each side and install the Flush Mounts. No holes to drill.
It was necessry to actually use the Quick Draw rod holders upside down and eliminate the Quick Draw feature with a little 4200 adhesive. The end result is a clean neat installation that allows the removal of the rod holders in a few seconds. With the rod holders removed, the kids can still have fun on the Jet Ski without anything sticking out that could cause injury.
The holders keep the rods secure even in rough chop caused by boat wakes. I will be using them to troll when Mack season rolls around I am using the fishing set-up for saltwater fishing."

Make sure you can't pull unit out,

"The first time use of my new QuickDraw rod holders proved to be a costly one. I was perch fish out on Lake Michigan. I put a second rod into the new rod holder. When I noticed a bite,I pulled up on the rod and the rod holder fell into the water. After inspection of my other holders, I realized that I had not locked the holder completely into the mount. Make sure you check this by trying to pull the rod holder out, before use. I'm also going to attach a cord of some kind to prevent future losses, just in case someone else fails to check the status of the locking mechanism.
Needless to say it was truely a sinking feeling when the holder fell overboard."

"I mounted the Rod holder on the front of my kayak. The flush mount is perfect for a kayak because when the rod holder is removed, there isn't any interference caused by the rod holder mount.
Because of the 360 degree rotation of the rod holder, the fishing rod can be rotated so the rod is never in the way. There is a position for every purpose."

"The rod holder works well, especially with the 360 degree rotation. It was easy to install, although the installation instructions were somewhat confusing regarding the direction to install the round flush mount. I installed it backwards, but it had little effect on the rod holder's usability. I installed it on the side of my kayak, and it is much easier to use and much more accessible than the rear rod holders that came with the kayak. I may install a second QuickDraw later."

360HT allows for rapid rod retrieval and setting the hook all in one
quick motion. Suggest the optional extension when using the holder on a
platform or boat dock. The extension allows for vertical placement of
the holder and minimizes the risk of that big fish taking your rod for
