"I HAVE TENDER AND SENSITIVE FEET. THESE BOOTS ARE KILLING MY FEET. THE TOE BOX IS SMALL MAKING BOTH MY LITTLE PIGGIES THAT CRY ALL THE WAY HOME CRY EVEN MORE. THE BOOT IS STIFF OUT OF THE BOX AND A LITTLE HEAVY. MY FEET SWEAT IN WARM WEATHER AND FREEZE IN COLD WEATHER WHILE WEARING THESE BOOTS. THEY ARE WELL MADE, RUGGED AND DON'T LEAK WHEN STANDING IN WATER."

"Danner has always meant high quality. These boots are excellent. I had them submerged within one inch of the top of the boot and they are completely waterproof (GORE TEX). The soles and toe caps are rugged and durable. Danner also uses quality laces that should also last many hikes. Lacing up the boots is quick and easy. These boots are well made and worth every penny. They are also MADE IN THE USA! These boots will not let you down."

"I did a lot of research before I bought this boot, and I am glad I chose Danner. I spend 12-14 hours a day working both inside and outside on my feet. My feet have never gotten wet working outside in the snow or rain. My feet have remained very comfortable, dry, and warm. You would think that working inside a heated building my feet would get hot in a boot like this, but my feet have never been uncomfortable wearing these boots. This a very solid choice for an all around hiking/working boot. I am sold on the Danner product."

"I just got my 453 Hikers......they were ready to hike right out of the box. No more "breaking them in" for me! I hiked and Hunted the steepest stuff of my career the same week I bought them.I put miles of North Cascade Mountains (on and off trail) behind me with no sore feet. (ok my thighs and calves were hurting a bit) My buddies scoffed at me for not taking my 453 hikers on a test ride, but I assured them that once I had them on I could just feel how well they were built and balanced. Another great product Danner. You really impressed me this time. thanks.....I gave them a 4 star because they are so new... I am sure they will earn another star soon!!"

"One of the only boots to fit a short wide foot, has great support for the arch and for the ankle with out cutting into the ankle. Under heavy use the boot lasted 3 years. Water proof but not hot on hot days, works good in snow and ice. Boot tread held up well with out peeling toward the end of it's three year life span."

"This is my second pair of GTXs. I am on the move constantly training retrievers and guiding upland hunts. I demand alot from my boots and these and my Pronghorns deliver. Danner makes the best boot on the market. After many miles of hard use my first pair eventually accumulated debris between the leather and the Gortex liner through a hole that had developed which made then uncomforatble to wear. The laces on the new pair are cheaper than on my orignal pair. I added gel soles which really added to the comfort of the boot. If you need a great hiker you won't regret Danners. I recommend their products to everyone."

"I have had these shows for about 2 years now. I bought them because I was tired of the more common brands "hiking shoes" falling apart after 8 months of abuse. I've used these boots from Arizona to Florida for hiking and biking. I love them. I even caught the soles on fire last year while cold weather camping in Wisconsin. Wonderful shoe. The first hiking boot that I've been able to wear out the sole before the rest has fallen apart. I did have to spray them with water repellant after the first year, but if the only maintenance I need to do is spray them every year, I say its still a pretty good deal. I've had to pour water out of them after a flood last year, but dry them out and they are good as new. I can tell you I will most definitely be purchasing another pair of Danners the instant these become unwearable...if that ever happens."

"I like to work in these boots but I don't like to hike in them. they are very durable and have been good to work around the house and yard in. I have hiked in them on several occasions and they end up making my feet hurt, especially my heels. Light hikes are good in these boots but when I go on hikes that are up and down serious hills and mountains then that's when they really tear up my heels."

"The Danner GTX Hikers are great... I have traveled across desert land and work construction.. I spray them off at the car wash and they look like new.. very well built and I recommend them to everyone who wants a durable good looking boot, that offer comfort and endurance.
