"i bought the thermometer for my husband for Christmas. We mounted outside the kitchen window and it looks great. It is easy to tead and seems to be very accurate so far."

"I recently purchased my first Vermont Grandview Thermometer for my wife's birthday. First being the key word here .... Read on. I was very disappointed in my purchase. This is a very well made product. Its all brass and glass and even came with brass screws for mounting. I was so happy when I saw it and thought this is exactly what she has been wanting. Since it is made by Vermont I knew the quality would be good and thought it would be accurate also. I was half right... The quality is outstanding. but it was not accurate I'm sorry to say. I was even sent a second one and it was not accurate either. I followed the mounting instructions to the letter. I made sure it was never in the sun. etc. I even moved them around to different locations trying to find a spot they would work. I could not find one. If the product had of been off "X" number of degrees all the time that would have worked for me but they varied by more than 10 degrees over sometimes to under 1 or 2 degrees. I will be sending these back this week. I normally do not file reviews on products but since no one else had filed a negative review on this one I felt obligated to do so. Hopefully I just happened to get two lemons and everyone else got good ones. Brian"
