"I really like this pellet rifle. I find the repeatable accuracy to be very good. The noise in not excessive at all. To those who say it is I say you are using the wrong ammo. Any of the lighter-than-lead pellets that approach 1050 feet per second will break the sound barrier. This is where the loud noise is coming from. Those light pellets are also less accurate. Find a good, high quality lead pellet and you will be very happy with this rifle. My initial shots pushed between 850 and 900 fps over the chronograph. Near 1100 feet (and load) with the lighter pellets.
The scope is acceptable for this rifle. The adjustments were precise and repeatable. I have shot several red squirrels around the house with great success and little noise. I highly recommend this rifle."

"Have had this gun about 6 months and couldnt be happier with it! It is okay as a target gun but hunting is where it shines. It shoots JSB Predators and Superpoints the best. I have killed 3 groundhogs, 4 squirrels, 2 rabbits, 2 piegons and many sparrows. This gun is capable of hunting game like skunks, groundhogs and opossums with ease, 1 shot to the brain and my groundhogs were down from 7 yards in my chicken coup. The rabbits died with one shot and squirrels and piegons just dropped, great gun, with enough practice you could hunt succsesfully with this fine weapon."

"I bought two rifles one for each of my sons. One was fairly easy to sight the other took over 150 shots before the scope was set. Eventually I took the scope off, remounted it and started all over and it appeared to shoot a litl emore accurately. I say a little because neither of these are as accurate as I would have expected. From both rifles the pattern at 25 yards is no less than 3 inches. It is alos very loud for an air rifle. Literally sounds like a .22 going off. The gun is very well built and strong. If you are looking for accuracy I would not purchase this rifle even though I would reccomend it to a friend."

"Got the rifle for eliminating squirrels in bird feeders. The rifle has good power and looks for the money spent. The scope has fair optics. I shot ten shot groups with RWS flat, dome and pointed pellets. The dome pellets had by far the tightest group and the most accurate of the three pellets. I will be trying other brands later, but will probably stay with the dome pellets. (The pointed did have better penetration) The scope seems to be staying sighted in so far though I have heard you need loctite on the mounting screws to keep it sighted in. Adjusting the trigger pull is a must."

"when i got this gun i was very serprised how acurate it was for an inexpensive gun. i have shot many animals with the crossman (mainly birds) and i am very pleased. i set out peaces of broken clay pigions at about 20 yard that were about the size of quarters and i hits them probubly about 8 out of 10 times. i use crossman pelets only because they are the best fitting and most accurate. i think that this is a great gun and it is easy to use."

"Great rifle, feels good and of good quality. The scope looks good and powerful (although I haven't installed it yet). Great velocity and power. (It actually feels like a .22 cal. rifle) My only complaint, if any, will be that it's too loud, it sound like a real gun. Almost the sound of a .22 cal or other small caliber handgun."

"I bought this rifle based on the Crosman name. I am greatly disapointed in this rifle. The trigger is absoutly terrible. The seal around the barrel is wearing with about 75 rounds through it. The trigger guard retaining screw was striped. The scope is bassicly useless. the ring retaining screws are tiny phillips head type and are almost impossible to tighten sufuciently."

"i bought this gun about 2 years ago and i use it all the time for plinking and small game hunting. i was a little skeptic at first because i couldnt seem to sight it in. the problem was that i was using pointed pellets, so i switched to rounded pellets and the gun is very accurate. shoots very well and scope is also a nice feature. ive shot a lot of squirrels and rabbits with this gun, and is a great gun for the money. happy shooting!"

"I have had my Crosman Quest for a few years now. I am very disappointed. I have usually had good experience with Crosman. The stock is beautiful and the scope is good and every thing. This means absolutly nothing when its not accurate. I have plenty experience shooting and when I saw the patterns this thing made, I couldn't believe it. I was getting 6 inch patterns at 40 yards. I took out my expensive RWS and in the same environment got a 2 inch pattern. I think there is something wrong with my particular gun but if it was accurate it would be a steal."

"This gun is a hard hitting springer but in my chrony on reads about 900 fps max out of any pellets ive tried. the trigger is okay once i learned to pull with one steady pull and ignore the second stage. shoots 3 inch groups at 40 yards with crosman pointed pellets. its a great gun for the money, but not the best quality out there."

"I read all these reviews, and the first thing I did was slather my scope screws and rings and everything with loc-tite. I shot a few hundred pellets through it, as suggested. Now that it's more or less broken in it keeps tight, consistent groups.
I got a chronograph, the F1 Chrony everyone loves so much, and put a few shots through it. I came out just below 900 fps, like 890, 895, etc.
Fyi, if you purchase a pellet trap for indoor shooting, the back steel plate will have some serious dimples in it. I used a series of folded up carpet pieces, cardboard, etc one time as a backstop in my basement, and it shot right through all of that -- probably five layers -- and took chunks out of the concrete wall behind it.
Feels great, good solid stock. Trigger is long and heavy, but just apply smooth steady force like you would with any trigger and you'll have fine groups."
