"Save your money, in a word this gun vice is "JUNK" For starters the rubber feet are impossible to start with out tapping them, Second none of the plastic padding stays in place, Third the cam used to clamp the rifle stock will hold a rifle in place just don't put too much pressure on the cam lever because it will spin. This is a new product, from the store right out of the box, the good news is it will hold a rifle without bending or twisting."

"I bought this and was very disappointed. Thought it would be more substantial, but actually it is a cheaply made, overpriced product. I would not receommend this to anyone, do yourself a favor and buy one of the MTM cleaning racks."

"Poorly made and assembled. Rubber feet not properly made and hard to install. Front yoke pad will not adhere to stand. Stock vise will not control small rifle stocks. Vise stand itself has small bow in its lenght."

"Haven't used it yet...have had problems with screwing in feet...the rubber pad has come off one of the screws while I was hand tightening - will try to glue or get Cabela's to send another. I may also get a tap and start some screw holes...overall too much fixing for a new item.
Finish is OK if you don't mind a big molding mark on a bench tool but the soft material on the vise pads is interesting....I know I am negative on this one but I do know that Cabela's will make me happy in some manner"

"good idea and could have been a great vise, but right out of the box 2 of the 4 feet broke right off, i returned it and they sent out another immediately (great service as usual) , but got a second one and it was ok out of the box, but after the 1st use the plactic butt guard came undone and two more of the feet broke off. NO good, Ordered a Tipton."

"Yes, I would recommend the vise, but only because it is addequate for the job. I have used it several times now and it holds the gun(s) just fine. I was really looking for a bit more quality though, but the price was right. For a few dollars more, there is one that secures the stock better and I would buy that one now that I have used this product."

"i got the gun vise trough a web site and couldnt get my hands on it to check it out. i found using a 22 rifle the vise is too flimsy and the gun will wiggle back and fourth enough to throw it off. even with a weight on it, the performance was still not acceptable and i am sending it back."

"The rear or stock vise does not control the gun as much as other gun vises. This item has a single lever that rotates to provide compression on the gun. Would have been better if it was designed to use something like a C-clamp or clamps used to compress wood."
