Pure Gold Waterfowl Choke Tube

They're made of durable, corrosion-resistant, heat-treated stainless steel and are available in two constrictions - Improved Cylinder for close-in shots over decoys, and Modified for taking down the longer-range birds. They're also great for upland game hunting. All Pure Gold chokes are laser-engraved with the constriction clearly marked. 12-gauge only.

"This choke tube holds a nice pattern and is very easy to install in the barrel. Make sure the person next to you is wearing ear protection because it is very loud due to the porting in the choke tube. I would recommend if you want a tight pattern at 30-40 yards."

"Originally bought this tube for decoying shots...really it is too tight for anything under 25 yards. BUT 30-45 yards this tube has ALL of my confidence, after early goose and the early part of the MI duck season, this tube stays in my gun. The first hint I get that the birds may not finish in the kill hole I put in my Pure Gold for those 30-40 yard shots. Best combination I have found in my SBE2 and my Pure Gold has been 3 1/2" Kents #3,2, and BB. (I have the IC Pure Gold)"

"this choke is the best choke i have had. i have shot ducks at 40 to 50 yards. the mod choke shoots like a rhino passing choke. choke is great cut alot of ducks this season.."

"I almost did not buy this choke due to some other reviews, but went along with it anyway. So far the choke has performed great on my dove and quail hunts, I look forward to the duck season. Two reasons for 4 stars not 5. The choke came a little loose once, no big problem tightend it down again and have not had a problem since. Second reason, when I bought this choke It was with ducks in mind, I wanted an improved cylinder which I got, but when it came it says on the choke that lead shoots an improved cylinder and that steel shoots mod. this was not advertised anywhere and I could see how someone who just shoots ducks would not be pleased with a mod. choke if he had ordered a improved cylinder."

"This Choke seems to work very well on ducks all the way out to about 35 maybe 40 yards depending on the shot type you are using.I am shooting this choke out of a 24 inch barrel and placing about 35 beads in a clay pigeon size target at about 35 yards.If you take time to learn where to aim with this choke it can be very deadly and actually used it for turkey shot number 4 last year and dropped turkeys from 40+ yards easy.This seems to be a deadly choke no matter what you aim at and I would for sure give it a try.By the way I am using Kent 3 1/2 inch shells in ulti mag. double bb on the ducks I have taken."

"I recently bought a pure gold waterfowl choke tube from... obviously... Cabelas. Simply stated, I am killing more birds than I ever have before. I have patterned my gun with the choke and have pulled incredible numbers and percentages in 10" circles at 30 yds. and 45 yds. Folks your looking at 75+% at 30 yds. and 50+% at 45 yds. What does that mean? That means that many shots that I could not take before I am taking. But not only that I am killing. Now those 50+ yd. crossing shots are very high percentage shots. If you want to kill more ducks, have fewer cripples, and show off your long range ability in the blind, buy a pure gold from Cabelas... you will not feel like you've wasted the money!"

"i purchased one middle of last season it failed the middle of this season. my friend also bought one last season for the same gun as i shoot. his failed first he shot bigger steel shot like bbb i shot mostly 2 s and 4s. both chokes failed and bulged on the inside below the threads. so i am currently ordering a new brand that i have used before and recently purchased for my ten gauge. the reason i ended up with this brand was due to i had a new gun to the market and they were one of the few that had my type. two things i liked is that it patterned very nice with steel shot and all lead shot and the price."

A Magnificent Choke Tube, November 21, 2006

"I currently have the modified with steel shot tube for my Remington 870. The Pure Gold choke is the best I have ever used. Wether using lead or steel shot, 2-3/4 or 3" shells, my patterns are fenominal. While pheasant hunting in North Dakota, I had a few long shots at roosters. Almost 50 yards, when I hit the bird it went down hard, only getting a tight pattern at long distances will do that. Where I duck hunt on the river I sometimes end up with some long shots at those fast flying ducks. I never worry whether I will wound a bird. I know my choke tube will ensure I have plenty of shot to finish the bird. My recoil has even been reduced enough that if I have a bad day and can not hit anything but air, I can stay out much longer trying to get my limit. My shoulder is not hurting. A magnificent product the Pure Gold choke tube. This is the only choke I will use in any of my shotguns."
