"Worked well for boresighting my rifle. Was on the paper within 2 inches of the bullseye at 25 yards on my first group. The only problem I had was that the batterys do not last but about 10 minutes.

"I managed to bore sight two new rifles before the spring inside the casing broke making the product unusable. The unit worked fine until then. I would upgrade to a better laser boresighter if you have several weapons to sight in."

"This device does not have an on/off switch, and the mechanism is poorly designed and poorly implemented. After you finally get it to stay on reliably, you'll have about 5-10 minutes of battery life before it dies. Save your money."

Poor reliability,

"I owned 2 of these in .223, and they both failed after the first use. Needless to say, I was able to return both of them to Cabela's with no hassle. The first one stopped shining a laser, and simply glowed red. The 2nd one wouldn't stay on without tediously playing with the screw in the back, and turned off every time i tried to chamber it. I don't understand why they both failed, but it is quite apparent that there is very lacking quality in the construction of this bore sighter."

"I was pleased with the bore sighter other than having to use a dowel rod to remove it from the chamber. It worked as advertised and I would reco to anyone. I did not test fire at range and went right to the woods and killed a 23lb. 1 1/8 spur, 10.5 " bearded gobbler on first shot."

"Very good unit. Works flawlessly. My only complaint is that the switch it a plastic screw that feels quite fragile - I can see it being a weak point in the long run. The only other thing that I don't like is that there is no rim on it, so it slips right into the chamber and needs a push from the front to get it out. I'm not sure if this is standard with all boresighters or not, but it's a bit of a pain."

"Recieved the order promptly from Cabela's. The unit would not work. I called the phone number on the package which resulted in wasting my time with customer-no service and was told to deal with Cabela's."

"I just used it the other day for the first time, the on/off switch is a piece of plastic at the base of the unit and it is stripped. I worked around that and it will only work for a short time then sitches off. Tried a new set of batteries with the same results."

Great Concept... Poor Implementation,

"I purchased One and a friend of mine bought One for himself.
Mine worked one time for about two minutes then failed. My friend had worse luck than I did... his never worked.
We have both examined the units and tried everything we could think of to get the units to function with no luck. I believe that the 'spring' contact in the battery compartment on one unit is broken. The other unit is still a mystery.
Now we both need to return our units (if possible) or throw them in the junk drawer."

"I got this unit, installed it and it worked for about two minutes. After that it would work intermittently and instead of a pinpoint beam at 25 yards the beam was about three inches wide. I sent it back for exchange. Since it was a gift from my father-in-law I marked my address for the return. It showed up at his house. (I was pleased at it timely return- exept he lives 50 miles away). The second one worked long enough for me to zero my scope. I have not had time to shoot my weapon to test accuracy but the second time I installed the unit just to chedk how it was sighted at different yardages the laser will only work intermittently.
I would not recommend this unit to anyone unless they were about to sight in their weapon to shoot at me."
