"First time using it, it got my slug gun on the paper for the first shot at 25 yards. Then made the adjustment per the instructions, and it was about an inch right. I had my gun shooting perfect at 50 yards with four rounds. Something that I have never been able to accomplish with a different bore sight. This is worth every penny. You have to read the instructions carefully, but really as soon as you put the device on the barrel it becomes very simple to understand how it works."

"had a friend bore sight my rifle then checked it with the leupold bore sight both gave the same reading. As a machinest i found the instructions quite adaquit. just take half the barral diamiter take half the scope diameter,the distance between the top of the barrel and the bgottom of the scope add these three together set that figure on the bore sighter and you are there.....TJ Green"

"about the instructions, once you understand the instructions, it's EASY to zero your rifle with the Leupold Zero Point. My first time using it, I wasn't so sure, put it away (after I had adjusted my recticles all the way down per the Zero Point)...I read up on it on the INET, & found some sweet reading instructions, went back out, following the directions to a TEE! & was on paper with 1, One, Uno, Ich, Adaucuk, Ein, shot!
Now here's the simplest instructions:
Turn on Leupold's Zero Point Boresighter.
Place on end of barrel, find center with inch marks indicated.
Look through scope. Adjust up & down as necessary, left or right.
Adjust windage & Elevation until center with Zero Point's "target".
Remove Zero Point, & place gun on bench, aim at target, fire 1 shot.
Place Zero Point, turned on, back on muzzel, (without moving rifle) look through scope, move recticle to hole on paper target.
Remove Zero Point, & fire 1 shot to ensure zero.
Now with that, my recticle was at the lowest setting for elevation so naturaly my shot was off the target, (showing about 32" or more below the face of the paper target) low, & when I moved my recticle, following the shot, it became apparent that, that's exactly what the Zero Point was for, finding your zero...Simple. Should you do any type of maintenance on your rifle & remove the scope, just remember to add the Zero Point back on after putting the scope back on & then center the reticle, & then move the recticle where you shot the last time (tiny bits of paper & inches for elevation & windage are there just for this). It can't get any simpler than this."

"I used to pay to have rifles boresighted. A friend recommended the Leupold boresighter over more expensive alternatives. I got it, and it was easy. Three shots at 100 yds, and dead on. That's one and an adjustment, another, split the crosshairs, and another to be sure. Moved to the 200 yd range, and very simple to ensure everything was correct. Continued all the way out to the 600 yd range, and even there, was within a 1/2 inch of the cross hair.
Excellent product. Not hard to use, just read the directions."

"Leupold makes borsighting easy for any caliber rifle. I used the "Zero Point" after mounting a scout scope on my 45-70 lever gun and was amazed at the accuracy when I went to the range. My first 3 shot group was 1.5" right and 2.75" low at 100 yds. (I contribute the low postion to the .405 grain rounds.) After fine tuning adjustments were made, my next two groups were COM. Read through the instructions carefully to ensure a complete understanding of this product. The boresighter can save ammunition normally used when sighting in a new scope. Highly recommend this product for use on any rifle caliber and scope combination."

"This little tool should accompany every rifle purchase. I don't know why the optics work as they do, but this thing is amazing. To sight in your gun just do the following: (1) Set the eye relief of your scope (2) Set the scope to the lowest magnification (3) Make sure that the vertical crosshair is plumb (4) Place the boresighter on the muzzle and set it plumb (5) Set the windage dial in the middle of its range - half the number of clicks in its full range (5) Adjust the windage with your scope mount screws the first time (6) Dial the elevation in normally. Well, your first shot should be very close. Then, you might need a few clicks to tune it. The astonishing aspect of the boresighter is that you can re-check your zero in about the same space as your gun without firing a shot - like the cab of the truck! ...in the dark!!!"

"After I received my boresighter I was pretty sure there was no way it would work. After sighting in 5 rifles with it I have changed my mind. The first shot with each of the first 4 rifles was within 3 inches of the 1" bullseye. I was very impressed. I don't usually get inside 6 inches with the "look down the bore" method. The 5th rifle was just on the edge of the 12x12 inch paper. I am chalking this up to operator error. This boresighter saved me time and money by getting me on paper immediately. The backlighting is great and the compact size is very nice."

"I took my bran new Colt AR 15 with my new Leupold 1-4X XV-II riflescope to the range. Even so it was sighted at the gun store i missed all my first 10 shots. Not one hit the target. Than I installed my leupold Zero Point Boresighter' It was my first scope sighting ever. I zeroed the scope on the lighted zero point. Than on my first shot I was on paper at one hundred yard 4 more adjustment and i was consistently in the bulls eye. The rangemaster was amazed, he had advised me to go to the 25 yard range to get the gun on target before I venture in the 100 yard range. he was quite amazed at this miracle worker. it is worth every penny. Now I will be installing other scopes on all my rifles. I was able to sight the scope in broad day light. There is no need for instruction. Just stick the boresighter to the bore and here we go. You can pick up what you need to do by just looking through the scope and the lghted boresighter. Sighting a scope is so easy now, thank you Leupold"

"I mounted a Leupold VX-II 3 x 9 scope on a Sako Model 85 in 25-06 caliber and used the Leupold Zero Point Boresighter to adjust the scope once it was mounted. After zeroing with the boresighter, I took the rifle to the range. The gun was off by slightly over an inch low at 100 yards with the first three rounds. The whole mounting and bore sighting took less than 20 minutes and cut the range time dramatically to zero the rifle."

"Its a great product. My only complaint (and its a big one) is regarding the instruction for use. They are difficult to understand and hard to follow.

"Very good product, worked well. I used it boresight two Nikon scopes for this years hunting trips. It also allowed me to record the boresight to ensure the scopes were still corect and had not moved during the trip when I arrived at my hunting destination. Overall good product. The only Flaw is the Grid is to weak to use without the illumination on and even then it is still a bit weak."

"I have a number of boresighters including the old optic kind and 2 lazers. I tried this with an old winchester 88 and a new leupold scope. I went right to 100 yards after I used this new boresighter. I couldn't believe my first shot which perfectly bisected the +. I wanted to sight the gun a little high and one adjustment had the gun right where I wanted it"

"At first glance, the instructions appear to be vague but become clear after attaching the bore sighter, turn ON the lens light and look through the scope. Align scope reticle to lens grid. Remove bore sighter and fire round at target. Afix bore sighter back to muzzle and align grid with target. Adjust reticle to center over bullet hole, remove bore sighter, fire round and bullet will hit at point of aim. I found it to be accurate and easy to use."
