Single Burner has a maximum of 14,000 BTU. Safety shut-offs and soft-nose P.O.L.

"i bought this at a local tackle shop and used it out in the ice shanty on day. It got so hot on the lowest level that i had to have the door open and still was comfortable. This is the way to go if you need heat fast. very easy to light and a little on the bulky side but its worth it"

"I purchased this Mr. Heater to provide a means of heat and cooking in my ice shelter. Because I live in Northern Ontario, Canada it's not uncommon for the tempature outsde to be -20 to -30 below zero. After a winter's use I am convinced that this product surpassed my expectations in both providing heat and the ability to cook and boil water as needed. The lowest setting available is more than sufficieint. Durable and light weight, with an instant light everytime in all temperatures, this is one heating device an avid ice fisher- person should not be with out. A large plastic knob attached to the threaded POL fitting would be nice. This would eliminate the use of a 7/8 wrench."

"I purchased this heater to keep my tent warm when I go camping in the winter. I just used it this last weekend and WOW! Outside it was in the Teen's but inside it was like a sauna; I didn't need my wool blankets. I also was in an A frame canvas tent but I have felt my friends' heat a wall tent comfortably."

Hard to start, poor mixing of gas/air.,February 20, 2008

"Bought double burner heater. Couldn't light either side with installed piezioelectric igniters even after many, many tries. Finally used matches. Even after ignition you had to hold down on starter button for extended period or it would let the flame stop (since it has an automatic shut-off if the flame dies out.) Finally, after lots of frustration and freezing my fingers in the cold air I covered up the orifice air intake opening in the mixing chamber pipe to the burners. That corrected the problem. Apparently the gas jet (orifice) is not the right size or isn't adjusted right. Now I can use it, but I had to partially cover the air intake openings with duct tape. Get it just right and it's OK. If not it goes out. Unit is also big, bulky, and noisy for using in a duck blind. On the positive side, it does produce a lot of heat. Won't order another one. Should have returned this one but I bought it during duck season and didn't have time to fool with it any longer."

"Works great, in a 8x10 tent for nine days was used morning and evening. I never had to turn it past the low setting and it ran for the whole nine days on less than a tank (20 lbs) of propane. Temps were from a low of 18 one morning to an avg of maybe 24. The high morning temp was 27. I used it in Co. , base camp was at 10,125 ft. no problem with the altitude."

"I used this in a 14'x16' canvas wall tent on a recent Idaho Elk Hunt. It was in the teens every night with snow every other day. It took the chill off in the nmornings when it was to cold to get up and stoke the stove. I wouldnt recomend it as your only source of heat in a tent of that size but as a helper or in a smaller tent is a great heater. It is also fuel eficient. It didnt even burn five gallons the entire ten days of running 2-3 hours a day."
