Problems w/ transmitter, otherwise good,

"We got the clock and temperature sensor set up just fine in the room...then we tried moving the sensor, and it went out. Now it displays the time and temperature in the room just fine, but the outdoor sensor temp is blank. We tried a couple different locations, no luck yet. Maybe replacing the batteries and/or a third location will help.
This model did have the auto-setting atomic clock function, even though it didn't show that on the ordering page - it automatically came up with the time a few minutes after it was plugged in. Default was US Eastern standard time, so we had to adjust for the time zones.
The projector was pretty easy to set up, and shows just fine on the ceiling, probably 6-8 feet up. It alternates between the time and outside temp, though, so right now it's showing the time, and then a blank."

"I found the La Crosse Projection Weather Clock very usefull and fairly easy to set up. The hard part for me was finding a place outside to mount the remote unit that was out of direct sunlight. If you follow the directions, the clock is easy to set and is very accurate. I have it plugged in and projected on the ceiling of my bedroom. I get up every morning around 5 am and take my black lab for a walk around the lake, this gives me the outdoor temp. so I can dress properly, and don't have to turn on the TV and disturb therest of the house."

"This item set up flawlessly by carefully following the accompanying instructions. It works like a charm sitting on a small bedside table and projecting on a wall next to the bed. The projected display is easily readable without my glasses. Prospective buyers should read the full product description before purchasing to learn that the projected dispay is not full-time if the unit is running on battery power. If on batteries, the top bar must be pressed to activate the projected display and the backlighted time/temp display on the face. It suits our purposes just fine making it easy to check time and outside temperature at any time during the night."

"Bought one of these a couple years ago. It has worked flawlessly. Easy to set up and projects on the ceiling straight up 6 ft or across the room on a wall 10 ft away. Can't believe how long the battery lasts in the outdoor unit even through two extremely cold winters. Incredible. Extremely pleased with this."

"This product is great. I bought this clock about a year and a half ago and everything still works great. The projector is great and nice for when you don't want to move all around to see the time. But, the projector doesn't work when unplugged. This is because it goes into a energy save mode. Also, the clock is very easy to set if you just follow the instructions. Overall great product. Recommend it to anyone."

"I am a cabelas guy and love almost everything I get from cabelas but this isn't worthy of being in the catalog. The clock I have keeps resetting itself for an hour fast and the projector quit after about 3 months. I hate to write a bad review but this is a piece of junk."

"This is the secound one of these we have bought. The first one we lost the outdoor sensor. We use this unit in a camper and place the outside sensor in the awning support. Forgot to retrive the sensor after our last outing. At night just look up and you can see the time and outside temp. works great.."

"I got the clock as a Christmas gift for my wife so we could see the outside temperature in the morning and also to more easily check the time when waking up early - works great for both needs. The red characters projected on the ceiling are just the right size and brightness to not be distracting, yet easily read. The outside sensor works great, mounted one floor lower near the ceiling of the front porch and with aluminum siding!"

"In the beginning, the clock kept resetting itself with the atomic feature. We often had to reset the time. The controls are not very user friendly. Our biggest complaint was the projection feature stopped working in less than two years."
