Too hot to test,July 24, 2009
By Arizfrom Scottsdale, AZ
"The gloves are well made and fit fine. I bought them for my November-December Elk hunt. I dont believe I will be trying them out when the temp is in the 100's plus here at home. The true test will be in Nov-Dec."

Good Pair but NOT WATERPROOF,July 11, 2009
By squirrelslayer64from Western New York
"These gloves are just about as warm and comfortable as you could get. I love the feature of having 2 gloves in 1. It's great because you can adapt your gloves to a particular need. I wear the inner black gloves to my stand and then put the larger wool gloves over once I arrive so my hands won't overheat and sweat. However these gloves are not perfect. They are most certainly NOT waterproof. You better not get any melted snow on them or water from your canteen because, when they are wet, they are freezing. Also, the plastic hangings on the zipper that allow you to pull the zipper open and closed clink against your gun; I cut mine off straight away and replaced it with string. Lastly, I'm not a very organized guy and I have lost part of the glove on more than 1 occasion (including in the woods). However a great pair of gloves and would fit most hunting needs with a little alteration."

Good Gloves,April 22, 2009
By Whitefishfrom Manitoba, Canada
"As long as you follow the recommendations and order one size larger, these gloves should work well.
I've used them for deer hunting on stand (down to -5C) as well as ice fishing (down to -20 C) and they have worked fine. Glad I bought 'em."

No more cold hands,January 4, 2009
By ChipawahPmonkfrom JM Guildhall VT.
"After years hunting with cold hands I have found a product that keeps my hands warm. I also found them to work great when using my 4-wheeler to plow my driveway. I don't have big hands but I chose 2 sizes larger than suggested and got a perfect fit. Thanks,"

Best Gloves I Ever Bought,December 22, 2008
By floydsfrom Milwaukee, Wisconsin
"I was looking for a pair of gloves which would keep my hands warm. I had suffered a mild case of frost bite years ago and when ever the temps drop I feel it. Different gloves I've tried didn't work once the temps dropped below 20. I picked these up in the morning and went out to do some snow removal in the afternoon. The temp was between 0 and 5 above. I was outside for about 2 1/2 hours and my hands were warm and very comfortable. When I came in my wife asked how my hands were. I pulled off the gloves and touched her face. She was expecting the normal cold hands but for the time she didn't flinch. These gloves are well worth the price."

Canadian Stand Gloves,December 16, 2008
By jbarrettfrom Goddard, Kansas
"I have very poor circulation in one index finger, because it was cut off and reattached. As a result I am always looking for something new to keep that finger warm. I have tried Glo-Mitts, including one discontinued by Cabelas that had full gloves within the mitten, but this is the best I have found short of a muff.
I bought a pair of the berber wool blend Canadian Stand Gloves last summer in the Kansas City Store, but did not really need them until last weeks' deer season. They worked very well. The gloves by themselves were warmer than I expected given how thin they are. When my finger got cold, I put on the mitten, and my finger was quite warm.
As a previous reviewer stated, the only problem I have had is the stiching on the inside of the index fingers of both gloves.
Very good product."

Delta Junction Alaska in Dec.,December 5, 2008
By Bluehair37from Van Buren AR.
"The first day the tempature was -9 and the next few days didn,t get above +10. My hands were warm from start to finish. Just took the advice from the earlier reviewers and ordered them one size larger than the chart said. The liners are also warm enough for doing things like changing a flat tire on a hunt."

Warm but not durable.,December 1, 2008

"The glove and mitten combo works well in cold climates. The only problem I experienced is with the trigger finger on both gloves...the stitching came apart after several days of use. I was able to make a repair after I returned home."

Winter Hunting Gloves,September 2, 2008
By grhunterfrom Grand Rapids, MI
"Put quite simply, the only reason for four stars is the size of the gloves. Listen to all who ordered and order the next largest size. Do not use the sizing chart to order. It is very irritating to order an "on sale" item and have to spend money to send the product back do to a sizing issue by Cabela's!
But, like all Cabela's products, the quality is great. Should be a great pair of gloves for hunting this season and many to come."
