"My husband loves these pants for work. He actually found a pair of Wrangler Riggs Ripstop brand-new shorts at a thrift store and fell in love with them. Then my search was on to find more shorts and long pants for him. He particularly likes the leather shielded pocket for his pocket knife that he carries. The dirt does not usually stick to this fabric, so they look pretty clean by the end of the day. These pants are sturdy, comfortable and pleasing to the eye. They are lighter in weight than the other leading brand he has been wearing but just as tough, maybe tougher. This is the line of long pants and shorts that I will be purchasing for him for now on for his work clothes."

"In my work I need to move and climb and get down on my knees. These pants help me do my job better than any I've ever owned before. The double front is great to have when I need it. "Have purchased four pair of the RIGGS Workwear Ripstop Ranger Pants (at different times), and consider them to be my favorites for work, play, and just casual wear. I like the somewhat tough, heavy-weight material (similar to some heavier types of blue jeans), but also find them to be very comfortable. I only gave it 4 stars since I had to return both long pants and shorts because the size is not true as it runs small. "I wear nothing else when I'm home, on the archery range, gardening or shopping around town because they are very comfortable, hold their shape, and look good. There are also enough pockets to accomodate tools, billfold, and even a camera. I got the first two pairs at a farm supply store. When I returned for more, they said the pants were "seasonal," so I looked up the brand on the internet and found that Cabela's stocked them regularly in their catalog and in their stores. I've since purchased three more pairs...in different shades of brown and green for myself. I've gotten them for my husband, brother, and sons, and they love them, too."

Big hole in cargo,June 15, 2009

"Took these 2 week old Ripstops on a backpacking trip in Northern Michigan. Into the weekend I noticed that the seam came apart in the lower part of the cargo pocket. Lost my keys and my Gerber multi tool. Luckily a very kind person found the items on the trail and returned them to a Ranger and then to me. Close call and had to do some handy work on the rip. Other than that mess they are nice pants."
