"A good decoy spread is more important than a good call, in my opinion, but this call sounds good for those few occasions when you need to get a duck's attention. Just don't overuse it, a practice which is all too common in my opinion based on 40-plus years of hunting."

"I have not had a chance to use it in the blind as yet but I like this call very much. It has a great low to mid range sound. Probably not the best call for enticing those long range birds but it's ridiculously easy to blow and I have no doubt that it will get the job done in most situations. The only drawbacks I have noticed are that the call looks a bit rough, (wood finish not the best). Additionally, when you take the call apart you have to be careful because the reeds will fall out if you do not hold on to the rubber wedge that holds them in place. all things considered though I think this is a great call for the price. I purchased this call because several previous reviews were by individuals that have used the call for years and are repeat buyers."

"This call is easy to blow. I am a novice/intermediate caller and have no problems blowing most calls with it. It's a little tough to blow soft though. The finish is a little rough, but for the money this is a great little call."

"When I bought this call, I was looking for a "classic" sounding call. I have several other wood and acrylic calls that I like (and still use), but I'd been looking for a call that has that classic ducky sound of the old wood calls I grew up hearing. This call fits the bill.
This call has never locked up on me whether I blow it hard or soft. The double reed is nice because it allows you to get a wide range of tones from a single call, and so far it seems to be more resistant to moisture than most of my other acrylic calls.
I think this call sounds more like a live duck than any call I've ever owned."

"If you are looking for a spectacular call at a low price, this is it. This call can make any very realistic quack possible. I am not the best caller in the world but I can call reasonably with this call. Duck Commander calls are the best money can buy. Buy this product because any call dosen't have to sound good to the ear of a human, it has to sound good to the ear of a duck."
