"Great coat to start out with but after wearing the coat for about a dozen times, the buttons are falling off....at a time when I didn't need for that to happen.
Otherwise, the coat is OK and looks good."

"This is one great jacket! The value is even better. It fit as it should, looks great and takes a load of punishment. No time needed for breakin, feels like you have had it for years. Even my dog likes it! Now that is saying something.
Carries a ton of gear, shells, and yes a great cell phone pocket. Warm enough in the cold but can be made warmer easily with layers."

"I had waited a long time to replace my old-favorite work jacket and the Cabelas Field Coat fits the bill. The acrylic+wool lining makes for a warm coat. Lots of big pockets. Wear a fleece jacket in the roomy inside and it's a perfect cold-winter coat. The only season I might not wear it is summer. A great buy online on-sale."

"This jacket is very comfortable and the lining is soft and warm but not bulky at all. The numerous and ample pockets are well designed and the velcro-closing external chest pockets (on either side of the zipper) provide outstanding utility for concealed carry. The soft cotton coat holds its shape very well and feels like an old friend after a few donnings. Also, I'm 6'5" and the coat is plenty long in body and sleeve. The corduroy linings at sleeve ends and collar add a classic look/feel. This is one of the best of my many purchases at Cabela's."

"I was looking for a tough, simple, and cheap field coat to wear through spring and fall and I found it. I'm 6'4" and getting the Tall size fit me perfect. On its own, the coat is good for most days 45 or so degrees and up (although the wind will come right through the front because of buttons and no zipper). With a heavy weight sweatshirt or sweater, this coat is perfect down to the teens or 20's no problem.
Great pockets for a lot of gear.
All around great buy for the price."

"I've only had the coat a little over a month but have been using it pretty heavily felling trees and processing firewood. Still looks new. Waterproof (so far) as I've been rained on a couple of times. I will probably want to rate it 5 stars if it holds up like my other Cabelas gear. My only complaint is that it is a nice looking coat, and seems a shame to wear it as a work coat.
Thanks to the reviewer who pointed out they run a little big. I ordered a Large Tall instead of the XL regular and the fit is perfect for me (6'0", 200 lbs). I can wear it as is or over top of my insulated coveralls and a quilted sweatshirt for some extra warmth."
