"This coat is good for early spring, fall or winter season in Japan.You can wear it expeditiously whenever you feel it that way. This coat is very versatile in and of itself. Not heavy, not so light, but properly weighed for wearing even over business suit as an outer garment in early fall or in a bit chilly early spring. "I recived my med field coat today and it fits perfect. For the sale price, "this coat can't be beat". I like the idea of it being water resistant, and it has scotch guard for any stains that i may get. I have not found any issues with the buttons or any stiching problems and the lining is perfect. This is very well made and will now be my main coat, and the blk barn coat i just got, (which is realy blue) will go to my wife."

"Just received my field coat. I owned a British Tan Barn Coat from Cabelas and was extremely pleased with its functionality. I saw the price of the field coat and wanted a little heaver coat for those blustery days. This coat fits the ticket. Lots of pockets and looks great. If you're thinking about buying this jacket, don't hesitate at this price it may not last long. As has been the recomendation by others I would suggest that you order one size smaller than what you would normally wear. My jackets are a perfect fit."

"the jacket is great for cold and windy weather. im really impressed with the thermal plaid chest lining. really comfortable. the fit is somwhat on the big side though. i bought an XXL but i usually wear a 3XLT so that was nice. although i bought it in store. i really like the corderoy collar and inner cuff it makes it alot more comfortable then having a canvas collar...
lots of pockets great for putting stuff in, i smoke and i dont like putting my cigs in my pants pocket because then they get smushed so this was great to have a jacket that has half a dozen or more pockets at my disposal.
one thing i have to say that made me choose 4* instead of 5* is because after i washed it, the canvas shell shrunk, but the thermal plaid lining didnt (at least not much) there for i have my lining hanging out of my coat, its not that big of a deal though, i just had my mom trim it up and sew it back together lol... probably voids any warranty (not sure if there was one lol) but hey, it looks and feels better now.
final judgment: its a deffinant buy, yeah its a little pricy but like my pops always said, you get what you pay for. and that really is the case here."

"I like the coat very well, but it is definitely oversized. I am awaiting the return of the XL I sent back. "The coat looked to be well made and rugged enough for any job you might wear a coat like it for. It also looked good enough to wear for everyday use. I did not get a chance to use the coat. I ordered a 2XL which fit great in the chest and shoulders, unfortunately it was much to big around the waist. I sent the coat back, besides the waist issue i would have kept the coat."

"Each of the button holes has loose strings all around where they were not sown properly. I will not pay 7.50 to send the coat back. Other than the button holes it is a great coat. It is every thing I expected from Cabela's except the poor quality on the button holes. My wife will trim and resow them. Not some thing I expected to do when ordering from Cabela's. Every thing else that I have purchased has been of excellent workmanship."
