"Works well until you zoom to about 50X. At 60X it is tough to see detail. I used it a lot this season on Mule Deer hunting and it works well close, but at long range I might recommend upgrading to something more suitable."

"good value for the price, tri-pod is not for field use but works great for flat surface. 60x magnification is foggy but works great between 35-45 worked great spotting elk from my porch for winter hunt doesnt seem to fog up and seems to be waterproof. great purchase would recomend ajustable tri-pod"

"The workmanship is first class. It comes not only with a soft carrying case but a hard case which is first class. The tripod works fine and the scope itself is easy to use and does a good job for what it was designed to do. As with most of the reviews I must agree that with the magnifcation set to max (60) it is somewhat tricky to use but this should not be a determining factor in purchasing the product. Overall I really like this spotting scope!"

"I read a review of this scope saying the scope would not work for manifications greater than 40. I decided that was sufficient so I bought the scope. Maybe I just bought a lemon, but I find that image quality diminishes at a rate proportional to the magnification. so much so that I found no benefit at all with increasing the manification. If you can't see what you want to see at 20X, you won't be able to see it at anything greater than 20X"

"Great package--it came with the scope, hardcase, softcase, tripod, some lens cloth--more than I expected. It is great for range use, but the short /lack of eye relief can be a bit frustrating at first. Due to the lack of eye relief, this scope might be taxing if you were panning/tracking game or looking through it for extended sessions. Great for my intended range use--intermittent range sessions. I would recommend this to friend with some reservations regarding the intended use. Overall one of the best deals you will find for 60X optics."

"The Bad - Eye relief is a little to tight and 60X mag is unrealistic for the optics. The tripod is usable.
The Good - for the price it is a good buy. The hard case is nice, If you keep the magnification under 35-40 the view is sharp. On a 100 yard range my 47 year old eyes can pick out .223 holes in the target with little problem @ 30x mag.
All in all it's about as good as you can get for this price range."

"I bought this spotting scope after doing some rather extensive research, reading reviews of 5 or 6 different scopes in the 120.00 - 200.00 dollar range. I settled on this scope after reading some very positive reviews, and partly b/c of the attractive price. I must say, I'm very impressed w/ the scopes optics. I have a Barska 50mm scope that has a very nice sight picture, so I knew that Barska was capable of producing some nice glass. The only thing I was concerned with, after reading mulitiple reviews on many websites, was the eye-relief. Alot of the reviews on this website are very accurate: this scope will definately impress you as far as optic quality goes ( it's not a Leupold, but it is not far off in image quality). Also in agreement w/ the reviews found here is my experience w/ the scopes eye-relief when using higher power magnification (i.e. 40-60x). It's tight, really tight, not sure that persons wearing glasses could even get their eyes close enough to the occular. It's workable, just a bit of a detraction from an otherwise quality piece of equipment from Barska. I'd recommned this scope for it's quality/cost ratio, and the fact that it comes w/ a nice hard case, and a usefull soft case. The tripod is, as noted by others, not very usefull. Only thing I'd recommend in addition to the scope is a inexpensive, lightweight aluminum tripod. You won't be disappointed by this scopes performance, it rocks. Thanx Cabelas."

"I was very impressed with this product. Usually you get what you pay for, but with this scope you actually get more for your money.
I bought this to use for sighting rifles in at the range, and it works great for that. I think you could count antler points at 600 + yards.
The eye relief is tight but manageable, the tripod is to short but actually pretty stable, has a nice carry case."
