inferno boots, October 27, 2009
By gary13 from minnesota

"I have only worn these boots once so far. If there is anything negative to say about them is that they were almost too warm. I always have cold feet hunting but not wearing these boots. I finally found a pair of boots that are comfortable and very, VERY warm. I am definately looking forward to sitting in my deer stand this year with these boots"

Super Hot...Super Slippery!, October 21, 2009
By Northhead from Ontario

"Let me first say that I have received only top-notch products and service from Cabela's!! I will admit that these are the first boots I have ever owned where I can stay warm without having to walk around. Amazing! That said however, I hunt in Northern Ontario whre we are surrounded by rock. Sadly, the sole material on these boots is so hard that I literaly can't wear them to hunt."

Great Boots, October 2, 2009
By CrazyED from Brookfield, WI

"I purchased these boots last winter before the ice fishing season. The best boot i've ever purchased. I spend a lot of time out in the woods hunting in central wisconsin and do a lot of ice fishing all over the state, including the far north. My feet never got cold at all, on many subzero days. The DryPlus layer works excellent as well, feet always stayed dry even with lots of water on top of the ice or while drilling holes. Very comfortable as well. They are big and a bit clunky but that is to be expected with a 2000gram pac boot. These are worth the price. This is an excellent product.

"Wonderful boots!!! They fit so well, with room to spare for extra socks. My feet stay so warm. I snowshoe with them as they fit very nicely in my Easton snowshoes. They are very light for 2000 gram boots. Lacing is easy and they stay snug. I'd recommend them to anyone!"

By HEYHOSS from Lancaster, PA

"Wanted a warm boot without the weight. I got it! No need for big heavy socks, these babies are warm and dry. No problem wearing them all day either. They fit like a sneaker protect like a boot. The 2000 gram insulation really works on those long days sitting in the stand. Great boot all around for the money."

Warm boots, February 3, 2009
By XXX22 from Oklahoma

"In my experience, there is no such thing as a boot that will keep your toes warm on stand all day in freezing weather. If I am not moving, my feet will eventually get cold unless the weather gets warmer. These boots postpone the cold toes longer than any I've had in over 40 years of hunting. When you first put them on, they feel a little like ski boots but I broke mine in quickly. I hope they hold up."

Warm as Toast, but With Some Drawbacks, February 2, 2009
By boatNsun from North Carolina fisherman

"Yes, these boots are about as warm as you will ever want. Especially down here in the Mid-Atlantic states where I live.

But they are big and clunky. I can barely walk along the side my cuddy cabin boat from the back to the front deck with these on. They are almost too wide for the narrow walkway. I also have to be careful not to snag the laces on anything, because they untie easily. There are no eyelets from the ankle up, just hooks to thread the laces over. That has been an annoyance.

But my feet stay warm, even on days when the temperature never gets above freezing on the water.

Great Boots, January 30, 2009
By Willy51

"Went fishing near Brainerd Minnesota with the temperature ranging from -37 below zero to -21 below zero. The Inferno boots were great! My toes never got cold, my feet never got to hot and began to sweat, and they were never wet even after drilling holes with the ice auger. My friends all were using heavy duty socks with chemical feet warmers, and they were still complaining of the cold. My feet were nice and warm the whole time. My boot laces have both broken, so you might want to have an extra set of laces on hand."

Inferno 2000, January 29, 2009
By Anonymous from Tehachapi, CA

"Used in temps of 18 degrees in snow rounding up our horses; used light socks and my feet were very warm. Our elevation is 4140 ft. In the future I will use thicker socks to accommodate the 1/2 size larger I purchased on other recommendations. Good traction on boots - felt very stable walking in the boots. Can't wait for the next snow storm to use heavier socks and see how it works."

By Anonymous from illinois

"I've been ice fishing for over 20 years, and I've had a few different kind of boots, the inferno 2000 have been the best so far. I thought my Pac boots were the best but these boots kept my feet just as warm in -5 degrees as my pac boots, but they are about 3lbs lighter and more comfortable to walk in, right out of the box!"

Ice Fishing Must-Have, January 20, 2009
By huntrman from Nebr

"My feet always got cold after 4-5 hours of ice fishing wearing other felt lined pac boots. These keep my feet nice and toasty no matter what the temp is. My suggestion is to buy a size or two bigger than normal to add an extra pair of socks. I wear a 9.5 EEE and bought an 11 D. They fit perfect with an pair of Under Armor socks and a pair of wool socks.

They are also very comfortable to walk in- say to a tree stand or turkey blind. Probably too heavy for pheasant hunting.

Another thing for ice fishermen - I got a set of Stabilicers (size XL) that fit size 11 perfectly. You can leave them strapped on so they are ready to go ( there's no way you can drive a car with these boots on anyway).
