"Size/ Style/ Softness was great..as advertised but so sad to find a quarter inch hole in the sleeve where there had been what appeared to be a machining problem. This comes back to quality control I guess."

"It's a good sweater considering the price. Ideally, it could be woven a bit more densely and tighter, and the leather applications could be a bit thicker. It would probably cost a bit more then, but I'd be happy to give it 5 stars then. I would prefer if the collar was a bit smaller/tighter. I got it in blue color, and it is looking very good. The lambswool is not super soft, obviously, but not scratchy either. I can comfortably wear it with only a short sleeved shirt under it. Overall, this sweater offers good value for the money."

"Just what I was looking for. My old sweaters had worn out and I needed an affordable wool sweater with elbow and shoulder patches. I purchased them a little large to allow for slight shrinkage. Worked out just fine following laundering instructions on label. This sweater is just the thing for layering in our current up and down temperatures."

"I like this sweater for 30-40F days when I can use as a removable layer under my jacket. This is not dense woven wool like Patagonia or Filson, it is a bit on the airy side and breathes very well. Due to the loose weave I do not recommend wearing this through the briars and brush on its own; it will snag."

"This is a very well made sweater. It is dense and "wooly." So it is a more informal look - but I love it and wear it to work. It is quite warm - I'd say for the middle 40's if you live in a damp climate. Almost too warm in the 50's.
The size runs just a little small. I am a 44 so the XL was just the right choice. The L would have been too tight.
I am totally pleased."

"I was looking for a sweater that is rugged enough to wear in a duck blind or on a pheasant hunt and stylish enough to wear at the skeet field. Your Lamb's Wool Commando Sweater fit the bill.
