"I have worn this sweater for a few seasons now.. It takes a beating and is very warm. The windproof liner is the real deal and the chest pocket with the shell holder works great with waders. Highly recommend it!"

"The wind shield layer under the wool is not required, i'll be ripping it out before I ever wear it.
One main advantage of a wool sweater is the ability of easy and unrestricted extended movement. The lining prevents that.
A darker camo would be much better, if the lightest parts could be changed to black areas, I think it would be perfect. One of the best camo's made was the original "treebark"."

"The honker sweater was bought for my father. It seems to be well made and heavy duty. We purchased it for him for his birthday in the spring so he has yet to wear it hunting. However, just in fitting and first impression it will be a great to add this piece of clothing to the cold weather closet. Now we just need the cold weather this fall.

Awesome Heavy wool layer,

"This piece is simply awesome! It is heavy. Its waterproof in a light rain for a couple hours but becomes heavy. YOU WILL NOT GET COLD IN THIS. The liner is nice a slick material. It is 100% windproof. You don't need much layer under it. I wear a tee-shirt and long sleeve Under Armour under layer and this has got me through many days in the marsh hunting waterfowl in still cold weather and on the water in a layout boat getting a mist from waves hunting sea ducks. The chest pocket is well sized with shell loops. The camo blends in to just about every outdoor situation. It is heavy enough to wear in sub-freezing weather. This is a great layer to wear alone or under a heavy jacket if you are in REALLY cold conditions. It is slightly bulky but it provides a SICK AMOUNT OF WARMTH! Wash it gently by hand as the directions recmnd'. It has been two years since I purchased it and it is still as windproof and as good as the day it arrived. The sizing is just right. I am 5'7" 140 lbs and the medium fits PERFECT! It is great for wearing with chest waders or feild hunting in dry conditions for anything <40 degrees. If you are being mobile in 40-60 degree weather this is too warm! The waist has a nice tight fit after washings and it has great neck coverage when fully zipped. Its outer layer is wool so it does snag briars. I wouldn't use it for deep upland tredges through thickets, but for waterfowl or boating it is simply awesome!"

"I wear this sweater October through March. It's awesome for duck hunting, ice fishing, snowshoeing, you name it. Very impressed. It breathes well but doesn't let wind through. You can wear it just like a jacket. I've had a lot of compliments on it. Well worth the money."

"It was 6 degrees light wind sunny with just a thick sweatshirt underneath and I was comfortable lots of room to move and sleaves long enough to cover your arms when extended many good comments on the looks. Well worth the money."

"Wore it as an outer garment 3rd layer. Morning was down into the 30's and wind kicked up at sun up. Kept me warm all day. It's a bit heavier than I expected, but once I put it on it was ok. My 4th layer if needed was a gortex shell, never needed it. By midday I was ready to shed layer 2 and just keep the sweater and base layer. If you are gonna go afield and it's cold and windy this sweater can handle it."

"This is the warmest, most comfortable sweater I own. It is duriable, keeps you warm on chilly days, water proof for that light rain. I wore it just about everday huntin this season and it with stood, belly crawling to sneak up on deer, walking through trees, and brush. The added bonus is the pocket in the front of the sweater, it was good for carrying my range finder, and extra odds and ends that you need when your stalking deer. It's a great product and I would tell my friends to go out and pick one up."

"I ordered a size too large because they were out of my size. Good thing I did. I duckhunt in weather from 45deg to 5deg and when warn over an underarmor or a sweat shirt it will handle any weather and keep you warm. The front pocket is handy but keep it zipped or you could bend over an lose your cell phone in the river like I did. On a cold winter morning in a duckblind in the middle of a half frozen river, its the difference between comfort and agony."

"I not only use this sweater for waterfowl, but used it elk hunting fourth season in Colorado last year. Did not bring a coat or jacket. The sweater kept me very warm and the windstop did just that. I found it covers a great range of temperatures, from cool to very cold.
This is by far my favorite sweater!!!"
