"By far the warmest clothing I own. Bought them for a late season Bow hunt in OHIO. For as bulky as they are I was still able to draw a bow with ease. For - 5 degree weather and steady wind, all I needed was a pair of Under Armor Cold gear top and bottom and this suit. Well worth the money"

Stand Hunter Extreme Bib,

By RECO1

"Very well put together. Easy to put on and take off. Won't want to walk long distances as they are somewhat bulky. For stand hunting or ice fishing they are great. The snow will stick to the legs but don't absorb water. They work great for what I do and what they were designed for."

stand hunter bib,

"I want to start by saying i bought these after hunting season so i haven't actually tried them in the field. I'll update this review after I 've tried them. My situation is I wanted a cold weather bib to replace a very old pair of walls legend bibs. I must say I was happy with those bibs but after many many years they just wore out. I was looking to upgrade and also wanted the warmest pair I could find. I also wanted bibs with full length zippers so I decided to try these. My first impression is they are a bit bulky but I sit for long hours so I accept the bulk. They seem to be a high quality pair of bibs that are very well made. Initially I wanted gore tex in my new bibs but after realizing I hunted for 20 seasons with the old bibs and they weren't waterproof I'm not that worried (I have lighter weight goretex bibs for rainy openning days). Like i said upon trying them on I decided to keep them, hopefully they will preform as well in the field as they feel when i put them on at home."

Cabela's Stand Hunter Extreme Bib,

By BarclayAcres

"These bibs are definitely the warmest piece of clothing i own. hunting in zero temps and you feel like you are still inside. i was hoping for more camo selections but the guide camo is fine. don't wear these unless you expect to sit a long time in cold temps. these are fantastic. wish i hadn't purchased a hunting coat recently, or else I'd buy one to go with these bibs. a bit bulky, but you would expect that for the warmth they provide."

Stayed warm for the first time.,
November 24, 2008
By CCook

"Wore the bibs and parka this saturday with temps in the mid 20's and wind probably 5-10mph. For the first time in I can't remember how long, I did not freeze. This is saying something because I usually begin to shiver after a couple of hours if its below 40 no matter what I am wearing. The extra insulation in the rear helped because the tripod I was hunting was covered in ice when I got to it, but I never felt the cold or the wetness from the iced over seat in the 6 hours I hunted that morning. However, those who say this stuff is heavy are absolutely right. You definitely do not want walk in with this stuff on. I waited until I got to the stand to put it on and stayed comfortable wearing the Stand Hunter bibs and parka, a layer of fleece, and a bottom layer of polypropylene. Pretty good considering I normally wear several more layers than this and still get cold after a couple of hours. I have to admit that spending this much money on hunting clothes almost made me sick, but if they last and continue to perform like they did this weekend I'll consider it well spent."

Great piece of clothing!,

"I purchased the Cabelas Stand Hunter Extreme bibs 2 yrs ago in an effort to keep myself warm and comfortable during our usually frigid last week of deer season. They are fantastic!! My lower back and legs stay toasty warm even after several hours in the stand. The bibs are also whisper quiet. An outstanding value for anyone needing serious cold weather clothing."

cabelas stand hunter extreme bib,

"After losing all my camo in a fire last year, I have tried to choose wisely in replacing the lost items. I purchased these bibs for late season deer and squirrel hunting. They may seem pricey but they are worth every cent. I have used them twice while hunting fox squirrels in sub freezing temps and wind blown snow. I stayed warm as toast. Of course they are very quiet. These bibs are not for walking and hunting, they are for sitting and toughing out the weather and your prey. They will keep you warm. If not it's time to go home to your wife. When I get the required funds I will have the jacket hanging in the closet ready for what next years winter will throw my way. Very fine garmet."

"The bibs are great for stand hunting and do keep you warm. If they have one fault I would say it's the fact that they didn"t come in shorter lengths and that's Cabelas fault not the Bibs. I only take a 30 length and the regular is much longer. Why do us short people have to fit into lomger lengths? Other than that the product is great!"

"These bibs and parka are probably the best items I have ever owned for keeping warm in cold weather. Quality made, super quiet and really warm sum these products up. Lots of clever ideas in these garmets, they perform very well. These actually work as well as advertised, actually fun to wear. You will be able to hunt without weather worries."

Already Happy!,
January 3, 2008
By FriendofBills
|
"I just received my Stand Hunter Extreme Bib and Jacket and I'm already happy! I have spent many days hunting in weather that hovers around 0 degrees and for the last 2 years I was the only guy in camp to sit an open stand in Saskatchewan! Sub 0 degrees both years and 11 hours a day! I have used multiple layers including wind-shear to keep warm and it still gets through! It's 20 degrees here today so I went out to the detached garage, opened the packages and put them on! I immediately felt the warmth that the Stand Hunter Extreme holds in! In fairness I do have one (1) negative! They don't pack very well! I can see the need for less hunting clothing however the bibs and jacket take up most of my large rolling Cabela's travel case! Fact is: I'll take the shipping issue to get the warmth that they will no doubt reward me with! I'm looking forward to Ontario in 2008 and I'm sure I'll be a lot more comfortable on stand! You ladies can sit in the heated blinds!"

The very best...PERIOD,
December 2, 2007
By bigwapitijohnny1

"I have used these bibs for the good part of the season and these are excellent. I used to use other heavyweight wool pants, but not any more. These are lighterweight (dry or wet) compared to the other pants. These have plenty of room for layering, and the fit is great. The full length zippers do not 'catch' when you zip them while sitting in the stand. After I walk to the stand, I'll unzip the legs to cool down for awhile. The zipper tabs are ergonomic, and you can pull them with your heavy gloves on. The hand warmer pockets around the kidneys keep my core temperature elevated. Overall, great product. Cold is no longer a factor in my equation..."
