I'll never be cold again.,
November 2, 2009
By Anonymous
from Laramie, WY

"First time I put this on I felt like the little kid in A Christmas Story. When using it in the field, I hardley even noticed the bulkyness.
There are tons of pockets, you can load this thing down with stuff. I felt a little wind coming through when the snow was blowing completely horizontally around me at around 40 or 50 mph. Otherwise, I was usually too hot and had the thing completely unzipped.
If you're going to be sitting, or not hiking too much, in a very cold area this will make you feel like your'e snuggled next tot he fire. If you do a lot of hiking, you'll probably want something smaller. I was making pretty good gravy at times.
Love the coat overall and especially during exposure to the cold temperatures I seem to find myself in."

Stand Hunter Extreme Parka,
January 16, 2009
By 181204
from Indiana
|
"I recieved my parka this week and although hunting season is over it has been below zero with extreme windchills the last couple days. I have worn the parka out shoveling snow and just general screwing around. It is very warm and comfortable, the handwarmer pockets are a little high even for a short guy like me. The muff that comes with it came with two male ends so there is no way to hook it up around my waist. All in all a great parka expecially since I got it on sale. I have the matching bibs and love them."

Winter Hunt,
December 31, 2008
By Husker187
from Nebraska
|
"The title for this item says it all. Wore it out in single digit temperatures and was comfortable for over 3 hours. The parka weight is balanced nicely for great comfort from an item as heavy as it is. The item produces zero noise and would definately recommend to anyone that does cold weather hunter or fishing"

Lives up to its name-extreme,
October 10, 2008
By bowhunt1018

"Only jacket I have owned that allows me to eliminate layers bowhunting in January in South Dakota. Cuts the wind and keeps you warm and is very quiet. I have tried many jackets and none have had all three qualities I need for late season bow hunting, warm, quiet, wind blocking. I had to purchase the Late Season bibs the following year."

Too Much Suit for Me,
June 1, 2008
By Figman
from West Seneca, NY
|
"It was just too much suit for me. I hunt in Western New York, often sitting for hours in a tree stand in below freezing temperatures in stiff winds off Lake Erie. It gets cold, really cold. But this suit was just too much. When I put it on, I felt like I was 4 and my mom had just "mummified" me in my snowsuit like the kid in the movie Christmas Story. I tried to shoulder a shotgun to see if I could do it with all the insulation and it was difficult at best. I returned mine and opted for the MT050Whitetail Extreme which has worked out extrememly well. Getting cold is a now thing of the past."

Great Jacket,
March 1, 2008
By Anonymous
from Albany, NY
|
"This jacket was perfect. I used it for a late season Ohio hunt and was warm in sub-zero weather. Jacket is heavy, so the layering beneath can be minimal. If you ever are going to be out in Sub-Zero weather or spend allot of time in a stand, buy this jacket. buy the bibs as well."

"I purchased the Stand hunter bibs last year, and can state that you can sit in snow with no discomfort at all...Haven't had cold enough weather to justify wearing the coat this year, (low 20s) but hope to try it out next winter....This is SERIOUS clothing for serious cold weather!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This will serve you in sub zero temps....."

"The parka, like the bibs is extremely warm. Comes with a hand warmer that is attached to a pocket on the back of the parka and stores neatly when not in use. The hood is adjustable and comfortable. Lots of pockets, reversable zipper and velcro straps on the wrists. Best parka I've ever owned!"
