"this pullover is warm, comfortable and completely blocks the wind. i wore it out west and its perfect for cold windy weather. its also lighter than a coat and not as bulky so its great if you are going to be on the move. i took others advice to order a size larger and im glad i did. i normally wear an xl and the 2xl fits perfect. i plan on wearing it in ohio while hunting from a tree stand."

"Too tight in the chest. Threads started to pull from the armpits after the 3rd day. Not good. Plus, the collar is too low. Side pockets would be nice as well. It catches tundra vegetation --like lichens--pretty easy and doesn't give them up. Overall, not happy and will try to return."

"Excellent cold weather hunting gear! The Windshear works just as advertised, and the wool/fleece blend will keep you warm even if you get it soaking wet. Breathes really well. One thing to consider, the jacket has zero stretch, so putting it on can be a bit of a struggle. Going up a size is a good idea.
Should be ideal for late fall/winter hunting. Highly recommended."

"sizing may be an issue. Works wonderfully for knocking out the wind. However, you may want to order a size larger than you normally would wear because taking this garment off is like trying to escape from a straight jacket. I'm thinking about buying the jacket instead."

"The jacket is an excellent product. Keeps you warm and out of the wind. Very comfortable. The only draw back to the product is it doesnt have a hood on it and it would be nice for going camping or even hunting when it is windy and cold, you can just whip your hood up. overall good product."

"This is the second windsheer article of clothing that I have purchased and they keep getting better! This thing is extremely comfortable and WARM! It makes layering extremely simple. Especially like how the cuffs are tight, keeps it from riding up if you wear it underneath something.(no extra bulk) I am constntly finding myself grabbing for it when I go out in the field. It is holding up very well also, I,ve probably worn it 50+ times this winter with no sign of wear. I'd give it more than 5 stars if I could."

"This windshear 1/4 zip top is great! It has solved my problem of staying warm while winter fishing on Kentucky Lake. Last outing was 37 degrees with north winds at 15 mph. I had much less clothing on than my fishing partner and was warmer than ever before. Keep making more windshear products, they work!"

A toasty layer on a cold Elk hunt,January 7, 2008

"This is the second piece of "Wooltimate" gear i own (along with the vest) and plan on buying the pants for next year's hunt. I am very impressed with the 1/4 Zip Pullover. I wore it in late November, in some very high country in Northern New Mexico on an Elk hunt (during some 0 degree days with a good bit of wind). The hunt didn't go the way i wanted, but i sure was comfortable! I layered the pullover over top of polypro and a wool sweater, and under the Wooltimate vest, and was very comfortable "sitting", glassing hillsides when the sun was coming up/going down. During the day i'd wear it alone with the polypro...a good upper 20's combo when "on the move". I wouldn't consider this to be a serious cold weather jacket, unless it was layered with several articles of clothing (for example, Gore-tex overtop), but for anything above 5 degrees, and along with a few layers underneath, this pullover can't be beat. ...Now if only i could see some Elk, my hunting would be more fun! ...Next year...!"

"Love the Woolmate!! Is super warm, and allows great movement. Wore it bow hunting, and allowed me great flexibility in stand, while remaining quiet! Wish it had side pockets, but the benefits out weigh this drawback...My order was delayed, Customer Service stepped up to the plate, and made sure I had it by my first hunt....Super service, and product.."
