X-Static silver nylon, a unique material that takes pure silver and bonds it to the surface of a fiber. The

"Ok you buy great gear from rifles to layering camo to great boots and breake them in yet socks are not on top of the list. Wait until one time far away from the truck and you are taking out your frist pack full of back straps and a front quarter you get a blister, That's when socks became just as important as the elk tag you applied in the drawing . I went on a sock rampage and wore and tried many different brands and weights and make up the out come was this sock. I have not passed a cableas yet with out getting 2 pair at a time. Im wearing the now. Alot about a pair of sock but the next day after the blisters started i was done. JF"

"Put a Xtatic liner sock on first and then the cabelas sock and foot odor is not a problem used 3 pair worn this way and hunted 10 days washing them when down to the last pr in a dry bag with scent fee soap at 9500 ft no funky socks and no stinky feet"

"You can not find a better sock to wear with a Gore-Tex boots. No hot spots, dry feet. The socks work hand in hand with your Gore-Tex boots. I purchased my first Ingenius socks three years ago. I not long need sock linners. I buy the light weight for my hiking shoes and the med weight for hunting. They work so well I even use them in my wadders."

"I have bought several pairs of the Cabela's Ingenius Series 11" socks. I wear them in my 1200 gram thinsulate duratrax rubber boots. I wore them this weekend trout fishing sitting still in a boat all day in 20 degree weather. My feet stayed warm all day long. I would highly recommend them and I wil buy more in the future."

"The weather while hunting was in the 50's to low's in the low teens. 800g thinsulate boots. Feet never got cold, but did sweat some. Good wicking, and dried quickly. Nice not to have to put on liners first."

"I am a bowhunter who bought the socks due to potential for scent control, I wear an 11 1/2 and bought the Large.
Have worn several times since purchase. Unfortunately when I peeled off the boots at the end of a steamy August day I quickly detected a strong odor. Looking at the socks, I can see that the silver thread is everywhere in the socks EXCEPT NOT IN THE TOEPAD OR HEEL PAD. Instead this area is made of what looks like nylon. You guessed it, these socks smelled just like a dress sock after a long sweaty day.
I've worn in other weather since then and haven't thought about my feet, which means they probably perform well. I have put a thin silver thread liner sock under them and have no problems w/odor with this. But I bought them for the scent control so thats why I only gave them a 3."

"Just put the Ingenious Socks to the test--I put a pair in my heavy hiking shoes and checked a new prospective elk hunting area in Colorado. Hot day with the high temperature at 84 with a 3,000 ft assent and descent The sock provided great moisture wicking, non bunching, and cushioning from the rugged terrain. Any one still using cotton or the old wool socks and has not tried the new synthetics I would highly recommend that you do yourself a favor and treat your feet to a pair of these socks."

"The Large Medium weight Ingenius Series Socks will fit a size 11, but I cant see them fitting a size 12.
As for the other weights of this sock, a Large Lightweight Ingenius Series Sock will not fit sizes 9 - 12 as advertised. If you are a size 11 and dont mind tight fitting socks, pressing against your toes and squeezing your calves, then you may be able to wear these. Ill have to try out Extra Large and see if they will fit size 11. I know that the XL medium weight do not fit a size 11.
So far I find these socks to be very comfortable in my work boots and also seem to be odor free. I am going to be buying a bunch more of them in all 3 weights.
Also, dont be mislead by the Gore-Tex lable. These socks are not Gore-Tex, they are Gore-Tex compatible! Isn't everything Gore-Tex compatible?"
