"Pants are warm, quiet and comfortable. However, for the price they are very poorly designed. First, they should have thigh pockets on front of legs. A must for all hunters to carry gloves, flashlights, calls, etc. Also, they should have had a fly with a front zipper(ie. for when nature calls) and zippers on legs. When I first tried the pants on I could not get them over hunting boots because the pant leg cuffs were to small. I realized this would be a major problem after coming in from hunting. Fighting to get these pants off is not something I wanted to mess with when I was cold, wet and tired from hunting. So, I bucked up and took the pants to a seamstress and shelled out an additional $20 to have zippers put on inside of pant legs from cuff up to the knees. This makes the pants very easy to get on and off now.
It is a shame that such a warm quiet comfortable pair of pants is so poorly designed. I believe most people would gladly pay a little extra to have the aforementioned changes made."

"I have the parka and the pants. Wore them the first week in January hunting in Idaho in three degree weather. It definetly kept me warm. The only problem I have is that the bottom of the pants should be elastic, so you can get them over your boots easier. Other than that if you want to keep warm, I recommend buying berber."

"Utah elk hunt December 2007. Sunny Cold and windy morning temperature about 8 F (wind factor about -20 F) walking in 2 feet of snow going after elk. The wind had no effect, those pants kept me warm and I was able to close the distance. They are very quiet in the brush. My body was freezing and couldn't close the distance because of his pant, they were noisy. I got him those pant for his birthday, he is looking forward to wear them this January."

"I used this deer and antelope hunting in Wyoming in October. Over light long underwear and jeans, in 16 degree F temperatures with stiff wind, I was WARM. The only problem is the absence of side zippers. They can't be vented, and won't come off over boots. Otherwise, great gear!"

"The elastic draw string in the waist is too flimsie to hold them up. Also the plastic stopper doesn't appear to work. I'm also concerned that the belt loops are too thin and not attached well enough to last a long time without breaking. I'm kind of disappointed in them."

"I hunt over 60 days per year, and fish around 30. I always hunt in fleece pants on non-rainy days, have done so for over ten years. I was looking for a replacement to my last pair, and a friend was wearing a pair of Windshear pants on a hunt the last week of the season. I checked them out and bought a pair the next day, even though they wouldn't arrive until after the deer season was over. Since they've arrived, I've fished three days in 17-degree weather, and they've performed beautifully. They're completely warm, they block the wind fully and they wear well. My old pants are really good, but over the years I found myself wishing they had this feature or that. These Windshear pants have them all. These pants are now my new standard for these purposes."

"I you work outside exposed to the wind. If you do, then you know the penetrating cold that goes through jeans.
I got these pants to layer over jeans for exterior work. All the other guys were freezing! They are now going to buy some of these pants.
The only thing I can say would improve this product is a fly.
Other than that = an excellent product from Cabela's!"

"Great pants I use them late bowseason in northern wisconsin and hunting in Alaska, only complaint is that there are no zippers in the leg. With zippers to the knee or a little higher one wouldn't have to take their boots off at -10 to get your pants on after walking to a stand. Otherwise the pants are great, they stop the wind good, and I love the camo pattern, just need the zippers in the leg and they would then be perfect instead of great.... Thanks"
