"I wear a 2XLT in hunting coats and a 19.5"- 37 in shirts. Normally in my coats I have enough room to layer a few shirts or a heavy fleece. The cut on this coat is very different and I found I had too much room in the belly and it was tight in the shoulders and arms especially from the elbow down. The liner is loose as well and pulls on hard. I didn't bother trying a 3XLT as I decided it was priced pretty aggressively."

"The jacket seems to be warm but the inside of the sleeve wants to follow your hand out of the sleeve when you put it on which I don't care for. Haven't wore it enough to know how it weathers or cleans up. It is a good thing we got the tall version as the regular would have been way too short."

"Great jacket, even with the windshear it's plenty quiet and extremely warm. I hunted in the temps in the teens sitting in a stand for 5 hours or more at a time with just this jacket another fleece and polypro shirt and was just fine. Very nice jacket!"

"Bought this jacket for stand hunting during the November-December gun season in upstate NY. Performance was outstanding with minimal layering underneath. Our hunting area is very windy and in cold temperatures that means a wind chill in the single digits quite often. Didn't feel a bit of wind with this jacket - and with minimal layers underneath I was afforded maximum movement. Would recommend this product to anyone who hunts mainly from a tree stand in cold weather."

"The first jacket that Cabelas shipped to me was a 3xl reg that was marked a tall. Cabelas took care of the problem and shipped me the right one. The jacket is super warm and it sure makes a difference when the wind picks up. I plan on purchasing the pants to go with the jacket soon."

"I purchased the Outfitters Fleece Windshear Jacket and Pants, mainly because Cabela's does not have the Fleece Parka and Bib Overalls in tall sizes. (I'm hoping if people complain enough they'll get the hint and start making them in tall sizes!!) For the most part, they're very comfortable and warm, but they could use some improvements.
The pants could use more pockets. Another back pocket and perhaps a cargo pocket on each leg would be nice. The front pockets should be zippered to keep items from falling out.
The jacket is very warm and comfortable, but could really use a removeable fleece hood. Also, inside and ouside zippered chest pockets would be very much appreciated.
All in all, the Cabela's Outfitter Fleece Windshear Jacket and Pants are very good items and I would recommend them to anyone."

""I purchased this and two other coats to decide which would be my bowhunting coat. (Bowhunter Xtreme Silent Tech Jacket and Cabela's Outfitter's Wooltimate™ WindShear™ Jacket were the other two.) The cut of this jacket is poor. The arms were long enough for my 6'1'' body -- I normally wear a 16.5 x 36 dress shirt -- but I would need a really fat belly and a really skinny neck for this to be a good fit. The outer fleece material is totally quiet but the windshear lining has too much rustle when things are totally quiet and you move your arms. It could be enough to alert a closeup deer on those few still mornings. I sent this coat back. (I kept the Bowhunter extreme jacket, which is totally quiet but not quite as warm.)""

"This jacket runs small. I normally wear XLT's which fit fine. I had to order a 2XLT and it is still tighter than I'd like in the shoulders and chest and shorter than I'd like in the sleeves. I am in good shape and don't have a gut, so I don't need a 3XLT which would be way too big for my middle. I would recommend this to a friend, but only if he didn't need the extended length. The materials look great and it seems to be well made."

"I hunt in Tennessee where it wont be much colder than 25 or 30 degrees. This jacket is just right for here. I wore a long-sleeve T under this recently when it was about 35 and I remained toasty. I never even felt the slightest bit of coolness. I confess that I thought the fleece would be thicker and longer. I cant say that it affected performance as it didnt. The one bit of advice that I would say is order 1 size larger than normal. This item almost ran a whole size small for me. As always, Cabela's stuff is the best there is. I would highly recommend the Fleece Windshear jacket."

"I ordered the pants and jacket specifically for long and cold bow hunts. I tried the set out at 40 F and at 10 F, both for 3 hour sits. The product works great! It is best worn as an "under" garment to keep the windshear material from making any "trash bag" noise in cold and very quite weather. I'm pleased!!~"
