forms a blockade against rain, snow and standing water.

Boots hurt my ankles,October 19, 2008

"These boots killed my ankles where the leather rubbed against them. I hunted in them at least 10 times trying to break them in, but just couldn't. I put many miles under these boots, but they never felt better, if anything they got worse. I tried different socks, adjusted the laces, loosened them, nothing worked. I am going to have to return these boots and look for a different style or brand. I wanted to like these boots, they seem like they are made very well. Maybe it's my foot, but be warned, they really hurt and wouldn't break in around the ankle."

Real nice boot, but didn't fit!,September 25, 2008

"The fit for me was tight across the toes and loose in the heel: same problem I have with men's sizes. These are supposed to be sized for ladies but the seam that runs just above the sole on each side of the toe makes for a narrow fit there. Had to send them back. I really wish these fit me. They are obviously high quality boots."

"These boots are amazing! I had a pair of Rockies and when I was hunting in the mountains the snow stuck to the bottom so bad I thought I was going to break my ankle! I went out on a limb and bought these while out hunting, but was scared if I wore them all day my feet would blister since they were brand new boots. I thought I was going to have to break them in first... WRONG! I ended up walking around the mountains all day and not one problem!! I highly highly reccomend these boots to anyone!"

"I bought these boots a year ago and just love them. I have a hard time finding a shoe or boot that fits me properly without getting blisters. THESE DID THE TRICK!!! I JUST LOVE THEM!! Most comfortable boots I have ever owned (and have tried plenty) and very light weight!! I just hope that Danner does not decide to quit making them!!! HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!"

"Having taken the lunge and ordered these boots from across the pond I knew I was taking a risk not having been able to try them on. However, I am fairly pleased with them, being lightweight with good ankle support BUT there is a lot of internal stitching across the widest part of the boot which is needing some serious breaking in to avoid blisters, and the slightly textured surface of the sole is a mud magnet, to the extent that even dry mud needs to be chipped off with a chisel! Not reccomended for someone who does a lot of walking in muddy fields."

"I use these for walking for miles through woods, fields, wetlands, etc for work. They are as comfortable as a boot like this can be. The weight is good and they are not too hot for the 90-100 degree weather that we are usually in. The sizing is right on, with enough space for my regular socks plus a thin liner sock. The heel is not too narrow, which is something that I was looking for. Very waterproof and durable for the month that I have had them so far."
