"This little saw is a hunter's dream! I used it on my elk last year and my moose this year. It is now a breeze to cut through the pelvic bone and sternum. The turned-up end makes it impossible to cut into anything you don't want to. My hunting buddy and two rancher friends were so impressed on how it worked on my moose, I'm giving each of them one for Christmas."

"The saw works nicely and is a good product for its price. I bought the smaller model, and it is very functional with white tail and helpful even with opening moose chest. The only drawback is that you need to bring yet another tool with you in the woods - luckily very small and light."

"I have been using another saw for years and just replaced it with the Gerber. Finally had a chance to try this saw a few weeks ago, and it performed just super on a 200# plus tough old buck. It just zips through the sternum and hind quarter area without a problem. It keeps the fingers and knuckles out of the way so no skinned up or nicked fingers. It is so easy to use. This really speeds up field dressing. BTW, in a pinch, I've even sawed a couple of limbs with it. It is tough! It is on my belt right next to my almost 30 year old Gerber folding lock back knife. You make them to last! Thank you."

"I had one of those wire-string cutter and it lasted on three deer. I used this only once so far and cut very well while protecting the insides. I can see it lasting the rest of my life!"

"The best thing about this tool is its carrying capacity. The Gerber E-Z Saw is not only lightweight, but also sleak enough to be carried into the woods without taking up a great deal of space in your hunting pack. It has a versatile, protective sheath that can be worn on your belt, and the ergonomic handle makes for safe cutting. I also recommend purchasing the Gerber Skinner (similar in weight and size) for help in processing your game after shooting the big one. Gerber tools are sharp and innovative... they get the job done!"

"Used on an Antelope and a Mule Deer in the last two weeks with the EZ Saw doing everything it was supposed to do. I felt very comfortable to be able to avoid puncturing a bladder or colon while field dressing. Having its own sheath prevented misplacement. It also cleaned up very easy after the job."

"I have been using these E-Z saws for the past 6 or 7 years and they have performed very well for me on a variety of game - up to and including elk. The short stroke and easy grip handle provide a secure and safe means to split the carcass into as many pieces as desired. The new and improved models cut even better. I recently purcased three more for gifts to my hunting buddies."

"I haven't used my saw yet but I did use a friend's last year that is the same. It was a great saw for cutting through but also kept me from accidentally pulling the saw out of the bone all the way which made for quick work. This isn't the biggest saw but you don't need anything bigger unless you are overcompensating."

"I have tried several different approaches to get thru the pelvic bone; I thought the best way is to use an axe with a hammer (Actually works well), other types of saws tear stuff you do not want to mess up, the tip design on the Gerber E-Z saw does not mess anything up and zips thru the bone, LOVE THIS PRODUCT!!"

"I read all the reviews prior to buying this. I buy tons of stuff from Cabelas and I love the quality.
I used the saw this morning for the first time on two whitetail deer. I have another saw, a larger folding saw with a meat blade that is infinitely better than this. I bought this one due to its compact size but am going back to my other one.
I'm not a saw expert but I think a finer set of teeth or perhaps a different set (pitch or whatever they call it) might make for a smoother and better operation. The saw kept hanging up and would not cut smoothly or continually. I varied the cutting angle from straight up and down to different slanted angles and it was all the same.
I would not buy this again nor would I recommend it. I'm glad the others seem to have had better luck, but I was disappointed...and I'm pretty easy to please."
