Easy, fast, and inconsistent,
October 25, 2009
By wvrktguy

"Pros - Extremely fast and anyone can do it. Just need to boil a pot of water and dip the arrow in.
Cons - Inconsistent results. I consistently placed the top of the crest a 1/8 of an inch below the nock but when it shrunk into place sometimes it would end up 1/8 of an inch down the shaft and sometimes it would end up 1/2 of an inch down the shaft."

"This product was extremely easy to use. The included video showed how to do it properly. I was able to allign the fletchings with my fixed blade broadheads. It took longer to heat up the water then it did to prep and fletch the arrows."

Shrink fletch,
October 19, 2009
By widerack

"I shoot an arrow too small for illuminated nocks and after losing a few over the years, I decided to try the Shrink Fletch Blazers. I shot a nice ten pointer and had complete pass through. My follow up shot however, clipped a small limb and went wild. Because of the large white area and bright colors I was able to find both arrows easily. They attach easily, work great, fly perfect and are very visible. I bought more to do all my arrows."

Very Easy and Actually Affordable,
August 27, 2009
By Dolph92

"Pros: Easy to fletch arrows. Accurate, Crested arrows, FAST did I mention this was easy? They stick and you can tune the fletch to your fixed blade broadheads
Cons: Cant get the same helical all the time.
I have used these for a few years now and love them. I used to fletch my own and it woudl take hours to prep and get a dozen arrows setup. People say that these are expensive and they may appear to be. However take into consideration the equipment and the time and these are FAR more affordable than you may think. Glue, crests, jigs, and vanes all cost. With these you dont buy that stuff you get it all in one easy to install package.
As far as some of those who claim that they dont stay on. I shoot a HCA Iron Mace with Speedpro 5.5 GPI arrows. Total arrow weight is right at 300 grains and I shoot 70 lbs yes that under IBO weight for the arrow but HCA warrantied there bows to 3 grains per pound. I crono right at 350 FPS out of my rig and have had ZERO fletching fly off even when they pass through the local ranges hay bales.
If these fall off you didnt install them right."

"If you don't own a jig. I would not hesitate to try this product. The with the short Mike Waddell instructional dvd the application process was quicker and easier than I expected. I used this to product to replace some of the vanes on the practice vanes that were shot up. I have been shooting the this product at least once a week for three months and it has held up as well my prepackaged fletchings even with a few target pass throughs. I will be buying another pack when I when it is time."

Easy to use,

"This product was extremely easy to use. I heated water in a microwave, used a cooking thermometer to measure the temperature. Placed the arrow and shrink fletch into the water. Within 5 minutes I was in the backyard shooting the new arrow. I wont go away to hunting camp without packing these in my bag ever again. Great quick, easy alternative to packing all the tools needed to refletch arrows!"

Extreme Archery Shrink Fletch Blazer,
October 13, 2008
By Bieds

"I read the comments on this product prior to purchasing them, with most of the ratings being very high. I had several carbon arrows with damage to the fletchings and I wasn't sure if I wanted to buy a jig or try this product. I went ahead and purchased the shrink fletchings and am not disappointed one bit. They were very easy to set up and didn't take much time at all. I have shot them several hundred times with absolutely no problems. I have since recommended them to several of my friends."

Awesome Product,

"I bought the Extreme Archery Shrink Fletch Blazer vanes just to try them out and have been very happy with them. I used them to refletch some carbon arrows and have shot them about 60 times each. I did NOT add fletching glue and followed the manufactureres instructions. So far no problems. These would work great as an emergency fix in the field. Great product."

Extreme Archery Shrink Fletch Blazer,
September 22, 2008
By rage2rules
from Lakeland, Florida

"I tried these on some Easton Axis arrows and they didn't do well at all. It left bubble areas under the shrink wrap, and some of the vanes didn't line up correctly-one side the 2 of the vanes would end up flat. It made them fly wobbly. Maybe they would work better on a fatter shaft but not on an Axis shaft."

Not Impressed,
September 14, 2008
By Anonymous
from Murfreesboro, TN

"These are the first "shrink wrap" vanes I have tried...Although I followed the instructions and the advice of other reviews...The work came out at best mediocre. There were bubbles and creases inside the tube (even though I dipped slowly and at an angle), the vanes themselves did not seem to be at the correct angles, and then most importantly, when compared to my other arrows, those refletched with the "shrink wrap" vanes were fliers every time. I have since stripped the "shrink wrap" off and back to normal. No harm no foul...though I won't use again!"

"It's a no brainer, what a great product. I shoot a Matthews bow with a whisker bisquit and they stay on perfect. I did put a little glue on both ends to prevent them from slipping, just to be sure. I'd buy them again."

"I bought this because it was on sale. They never went on correctly the shrink wrap melted even when applied at the 180 degrees they suggested. I ended up spending the $25 on the NAP ones and they seemed to work much better. but these were junk."
