Perfect for security,

"These headsets work perfect every night we need to use them. The earpiece fits deep into your ear so that you can still hear transmissions above the sound of background noise, such as music or loud talking. The mic has a little trouble picking up the voice from the sternum area, so we just speak a little closer to the mic, as needed.
All-in-all a great product. I ordered 4 last month and am getting ready to order 4 more (for my other employees, not as replacements) today!

"I bought these headsets for a hunting trip that I went on,I let my brother and a few friends try them out and we all liked them so much that my brother and friends on the trip said they were going to buy them when they returned home, that is a total of 4 more sets that will be bought,I read one review that they were not for hunting well we all disagree,you might not hear out of the ear that you have the earbud in but you can talk and understand what is being said while the wind blows and when riding 4 wheelers, they are a great match for the Midland 850 series radios

Poor Quality,

"I just purchased these security headsets, because the ones I received with my radios were inferior quality. These new higher quality headsets did not work well at all on a recent hunting trip to northern Maine. When unplugged from the radio, the communication was fine. When plugged in to the radio, there was static and it was very hard to transmit with the remote button on the headsets. In all, I was very disappointed with the performence of these headsets and will be returning them to Cabelas shortly."

"I have had several different ear buds and I like these the best. They are extremely light and comfortable. My only complaint is the micriphone on the cord struggled to pick up your voice, otherwise a good product"

Good headset but not for hunting,

"The sound quality and comfort of this headset is very good. I use my radio when hunting and because this headset goes into your ear canal, it is not an ideal headset for hunting because it's hard to hear out of the ear the headset is in. The AVPH4 would work much better for a hunting headset."
