Very Light Chair,
July 29, 2009
By MountainBound
|
"I was looking for an extremely light chair that I could strap to my backpack, but I wanted one that would sit up off the ground a bit. This chair is it. Only complaint is that it is very easy to tip over backwards if you don't have your feet on the front bar. It's also a little uncomfortable if you have a broad back."

Looks OK for a child or small person.,
July 1, 2009
By Ohiomo48
from Delaware, Ohio
|
"Bought this chair for use in our canoe. Wouldn't recommend for a large adult passenger, but should be adequate for child or small adult. Much better than sitting on the floor of the canoe.
As other reviewers noted, the seatback slants a little too far back, but bending it slightly forward seems to fix that issue."

Rough on shoulder blades.,

"Canoe chair is O.K. for women and small children. On an average sized guy the vertical tubes dig into the pivot point on your shoulder blades, not very comfortable."

Good for non-paddling rider.,

"These folding chairs are exceptionally light and easy to handle. But they are not good for paddling. Seat back leans too far back for that. They are good for someone not paddling though. Comfortable."

Canoe chair not just for canoes,
October 23, 2007
By Stonefly58
from Nashville TN
|
"Over the years I have tried a number of "camping" chairs, everything from something called a "sling" to tripods and a number of the sleeping pad chairs. Cabelas canoe chair is rugged enough for uneven campsite terrain and light enough to back pack it in there. I don't leave home without it."

Canoe Chair,

folding canoe chair,
April 17, 2007
By CCCC
|
"Seems fine, until you sit in it and lean back--then it tends to tip over backwards, as the angle of the backrest needs to be closer to vertcal than it is. I modified mine to bring the backrest forward, and also applied a little glue so the cloth of the backrest didn't come off the supports so easily. C."

Evil Chair,
March 30, 2007
By kckly
from Clearlake, CA (bass capital of USA)
|
"Not to bash this produdct but, i can't stand it! The back of the chair sits so far back that any weight on it and it topples backwards. The seat is far to skinny for any average size person to sit on. It also sits to low, your knees are by your head. I did like how sturdy the frame was and the fabric is nice, but thats all. I would have gave no stars but i don't think that's an option. Overall, purchase a used milk crate. I still love this outfitter though, just one bad product."
