"Quality construction is offset by a relatively heavy paddle plastic. I am 6'2" and relatively fit but intend to spend my energy on power strokes rather than on pulling the paddle out of the water at the end of each stroke. I cannot imagine having to cover even a several hundred yard distance. I will be sending them back."

"Having priced paddles at several sporting goods and specialty stores, I settled on the Cabelas paddle. Not as good looking as wood, not as stiff, either. BUT, paddles can take a beating and these stand up to it. And at a fraction of the cost."

"These Paddles are just right for the shallow river we frequent. They are very comfortable & lite. We have beached the canoe & pushed our way through shallow, stoney waters several times & they are holding up GREAT!!"

"I bought a pair of these canoe paddles and love them. they are light weight, sturdy, comfortable to hold, are vary sturdy, and have large blades that are just the right combanation of speed, power, and easy pulling. The only down side is that the plastic blades get scrated easily if you use them to avoid rocks in the river, or push of in rocky bottomed lakes or rivers, but dosent really do any real impacting damege."

"I have trouble keeping my feet warm so I ordered a pair of Danner 1000 gram boots. Now it my hands I have to be concerned about. I never think of my feet cause the're warm and toasty. Great product along with all the other stuff I have ordered."
