Hitch aligner,
September 10, 2009
By Chief701
from Ada, Oklahoma
|
"This is a neat little product to help me with hitching up my trailers. It saves a lot of bent up car tags and scratched bumpers. You need to be careful raising and lowering the balls though, as the rods are like the old telescoping car antennas. A bit fragile, but not a problem if you don't get rough with them."

Valley Magnetic Hitch aligner,
August 10, 2009
By martycw
from Knoxville Tn sportsman
|
"This product works well to get the trailer and the ball fairly close to each other. If the trailer and the vehicle are not on level ground the alignment becomes bothersome. I ended up putting a mark on both the trailer and hitch so I would know where to place the magnets on the aligner. Worth the money not to have to get in and out of my truck as many times as I did without the aligner."

ok but room for improvement,

"the magnets could be stronger and a way designed to allow the magnets to hang onto a curved surface. the concept is good but improve ment needed. it works best when hooking up the gooseneck and poorest when hooking up the tandem trailer."

Valley Magnetic Hitch Aligner,
June 16, 2009
By usoo

|
"Great idea! Simple, but it works. I can back up for a perfect match each time - every time. What I like best about it is that I don't have to turn my head and neck (old vertebra) to hook up. I can do it all with the rear view mirror. It even works great with the motorhome, using the back up camera. No more in and out of the vehicle to see how far off I am at the hitch - it works the first time. I have already recommended it to a friend."

Excellent idea!,
April 20, 2009
By Ripples

"These little magnetic 'stick up' tennis ball aligners are a great idea and THEY WORK. Have used them a half dozen times so far this season on various of my 6 small boat trailers and they save those painful "in and out of the car" trips to "see" if you're close enough... Mount them properly with the magnets. Back up. Touch the balls in your rear view mirror. Get out —once— and drop the hitch on the ball. It works precisely as advertised! A great idea. A good product. A fair price. Thank you from a bad back and arthritic knees at age 68!"

Only get's you kinda' close.,
April 20, 2009
By fr8tbil

"If you are lucky enough to have magnetic mounting surfaces that align the tennis balls when your hitch ball is directly under the trailer hitch this will work OK. If not, it only get's you somewhat close and if the surface your tow vehicle and your trailer are operating on are not dead level, forget it.
Good thing it was on sale or it would have been returned."

Magnetic Hitch aligner----" Yellow Balls ",
September 24, 2008
By MajorHunter
from Sacramento California
|
"These work very well--You can align a trailer hitch perfectly without a helper--which makes it easy to "connect" a trailer to your towing vehicle . I recommend that the telescoping parts be made from a stronger materials (stainless steel) because when you collapse the extension rods they will easily break if there is any crook in the collapsible rods. I broke one the second time I used mine and had to purchase a second pair. CHEERS !!"

poor design,
September 16, 2008
By campman22
from New York, NY
|
"I had to get in and out of my truck to check line-up which totally defeated the purpose of this item. The hitch aligner keeps falling off and does not give a true line up. If the lightest wind blows it shakes and is useless. Chrome finish peels off right out of the package."

5th Wheel Travel Trailer,
May 27, 2008
By 5thwhl
from Michigan
|
"Okay, we were told this will work with our 5th wheel travel trailer. I read all the reviews and not one was regarding a 5th wheel trailer for camping. We ordered it express delivery because we are leaving tomorrow. This will work!! I will report back when we come home from our camping trip to verify that my guess that it would work........did or not. I placed our approval of 5 stars because it was the best one out there with a magnetic that was the cheapest AND best quality (according to reviews)............."

good if used properly,
April 10, 2008
By frederico

"if you hook up without someone to direct you very often, this is a good product for you. The telescoping sections can be damaged fairly easily if they are placed directly on the ball, but if that is avoided, the product is pretty durable. I liked mine so much that I bought a second set ."
