"This Lee handloader is awesome! It's small enough to get out of the way without taking up alot of space. I use it for my 45LC, 30.06, .40, and my .357.
I have the loader and all my stuff in a box that I can take to my cabin or tent for hunting. Only drawback is that after you reload a few hundred rounds, your arms get a little tired. This is an awesome kit for the price!"

Great Press Even for Magnums,February 19, 2010

"This hand press is great even for my 338 win mag. I do not have much space and I can easily get set up in about 5 minutes. By following the directions that Lee supplies with their dies, I was able to produce SUB MOA groups on my first trip to the range! My hand loaded ammo was by far better than factory. This little press has plenty of leverage and even includes a priming tool, funnel, and sizing lube. I am a hunter to the core and usually only fire my magnum a hand full of times each year. So for me, I am not into producing thousands of rounds for the bench. I just wanted to produce 1 good all around hunting load that I could use accurately out to 500 yards and match the ballistic marks on my scope. If you own one of these scopes, you pretty much have to re-load (if you want to take full advantage of those marks). Also, this had press will easily produce the same quality ammo as other more expensive presses (you still go through the same steps, using the same dies) and when done you can quickly pack up all of your reloading supplies into a box that will easily slide under the bed. You can't go wrong with this purchase."

"Does the job very very well. Well crafted, feels like something made in the 50s, over engineered and stout. It'll make good rounds with the addition of a set of dies. It'll make precision target loads with the addition of an accurate scale and calipers. If you have never loaded before, this is an excellent way to learn. The learning curve is short. I like the small size. I put all my loading supplies in a plastic serving tray and build my rounds at the kitchen table. When I'm done I slide the tray and all into a cupboard and it is ready to go for the next time. Can’t do that with a bench mounted press. It isn’t fast but once you have developed your round, if you do each step in sequence and stay organized it moves pretty quick."

"It's rare that you can get something this nice for such a reasonable price. This press is simplicity itself. I'm new to reloading and was intimated but I sat down with this kit and I followed the instruction and was reloading in no time. I still may buy a full size press someday but the rhythm of using this hand press somehow soothing. I'm using the set to load 38 special. I do suggest a scale and a powder measure."

"This kit is great. Pretty much does anything the press kits do. I like to spend time with the family so i usually find myself with my resizing dies with a big bag of brass casings resizing them to whatever is on television. very convenient. i still use my press kit for other things but this kit gives me more time with the family. i love the kit for that."

"I don't know why I didn't buy one sooner. Great press. getting all set up for it is easy too, the best part though, is being ready for the Bench type set up, all you need is the press since you've already purchased dies to operate this great lil mobile piece. Perfect for those of us in apt.s or unpredictable living situations due to work or otherwise. Pack all of your reloading gear in a tool box and go. Accurate ammo is easy to obtain with this press, I spit out some 243win with less than half MOA group at 100yrds using Barnes' varmint grenades :)"

"I have been using the Lee Hand Press for over three years. I can full-length re-size any of the 30-06 "family" brass into 25-06, 30-06, and 35 Whelen, with only moderate effort. I would recommend upgrading from the Ram-prime, should you be reloading large quantities of brass. I purchased this unit for a friend, and he shares my same opinion on this unit as well."

"I Have Had this Hand Loader Now for a few months and Wow! More than I expected. At one time years ago in had a single stage Bench reloading system, I would say this is better as I can use it about anywhere I want, its very moble and easy to use. You can get Very Good Quality Ammo from it, as good an ANY other loader out there, Keep in mind it uses all the same equipment as ALL the others out there. I Have Tested Many loads in my .223 Rem Bolt-Action and AR15 and would stack them up to any of the best out there. So far I have used it for .223 Rem 357 Mag 40 S&W 30 - 30 Win and 30 - 06. The Longer the case the more Pressure you need but the 06's were no problem at all. I shoot about 3 to 4 times a week so would say I have loaded close to 2k rounds to date. If you have limited space and want very good quality Ammo this is the little Jewel you need."

"Lee's hand press is quality just like other lee products, easy to use, and handy. the ram prime works great too. I kinda bought the product so I wasnt confined to doing everything in my garage, and maybe I could watch tv and deprime/resize (not going to sit on the couch and charge cases or seat bullets) the question I had before I bought the press was that it has no spent primer catcher, but it actually has a great system for that, all of the spent primers are caught inside the shaft of the press. and as long as you dont tilt it too far to the side, that is where they stay. not sure how many it holds but this is not a high volume thing either. I have successfully reloaded .223, 22-250, and 6mm using this press through the whole process and it works great after you get used to holding it and the leverage it takes to operate. 4 stars instead of 5 because its not the smoothest thing in the world, operation is a little gritty because it is painted under the pivot points. once you wear the paint off, it gets better. would buy it again."

"The hand press is in my opinion the best way to reload for a low-volume reloader. I had never reloaded before, but a combination of a Lee Handpress kit and some Lee dies got me set up for reloading one caliber for about $50 not counting the cost of the ammunition components.
I'm very glad I got the handpress kit rather than the (more expensive) single stage presses. The only advantage these give is the extra leverage, but in my opinion the ability to reload anywhere is a much better trade-off. I reload outside during the summer, or anywhere else I want. It would also be a good kit to use to reload with while watching boring television with friends. Traditional presses would keep one locked up in a room. It is also far easier to use than the simple Lee Classic Loader and can use standard dies meaning that it is adaptable to multiple calibers and can be used in every way like a regular single-stage press can be. At only about $10 more expensive it is still cheap enough for anyone who wants to try out reloading and well worth the price difference."
