"I got one of these as a gift and the reaction of our dogs was indifferent...they didn't seem to like it or hate it.
I travel a lot. And I carry a lot of stuff in my pockets and on my belt...several sets of keys, Leatherman tool, a small flashlight, beeper, cellphones, etc. All this is stuff that is both essential for my work and easy to leave behind in a hotel room if I'm in a hurry to leave.
Suddenly my solution for all this was this nice little dog accessory that the dogs seemed to ignore!
Now I carry the collapsible dog dish in my suitcase, and as soon as I hit the hotel room, out comes the dog dish onto the dresser--and suddenly I have a place to keep all that important stuff that could be inadvertently left behind. When I get ready to leave, all the important gagetry is right there, and the "dog bowl" stuffs right back into my overnight bag (a Cabelas Alaskan Upright Roller, if you are keeping score)."

"This is a great product from Cabela's. I have a dog that goes everywhere with me, and this bowl has been a life saver. Holds water well over an hour or more. It did seem to hold a tiny tiny amount water under the inside lining but drys out if flipped overnight. Packs great, nice size for all dogs, and forms back to shape. Place it on the ground before filling with water though."

"We use the bowl as a portable water bowl for our lab. It is nice that you can fold it up, reform it and fill it with water. We use it on bike rides since it folds small enough to fit in our bike pouch then when we stop for water our dog can have a drink as well. We have never used it for food so I can't vouch for it that way. It also is not made for long term water bowl use, it should be emptied and allowed to dry between uses to prevent mildew."
