"I bought 4 of these for both motor and seat covers several years ago, and they held up well. Replaced them last year and the new cord material frayed immediately on all of them.
Also, the new 'small' motor cover size is way too big for most motors. One size does not fit all."

"I got the size 3 for my '86 Johnson 90hp V4. It fits very well. The stitching looks a little light and I plan to run over all seams with another stitch."

"When I read other reviews I was nervous about buying this product, but when I called customer service to inquire, they gave me the dimensions of the largest cover. It fits my 2006 75 hp 4-stroke like a glove and the other concerns about the plastic clip were not an issue for me as I am just using it for storage not transport. I was also impressed with the product knowlegdge and the helpful attitude of the customer service personnel."

"I ordered one of these for my 35 HP Evinrude outboard, and when it arrived it was HUGE! About twice the size of my engine. I checked the package to make sure they sent me the proper one, and yes it was. Item appears to be good quality but is totally useless since it is roughly twice the size of my outboard."

"The motor covers were far too large for the sizes specified. For example, the cover purchased for my 2hp 4-stroke fit my 40hp 4-stroke instead. The 40hp cover would probably work well over a 115hp 4-stroke. Too much trouble to send the larger cover back, so I'll either give it away or cut it down and adapt it to fit the kicker."

"How basic can one of these be, I have a NEW 2008 Merc EFI 40 hp and have been looking for one of the MERCURY covers advertied but nothing for anything less than 100Hp so I purchased on of these, They woudl be great for a worn motor and your did not care about the corner getting sanded away from cover. Quality of sewing is BAD, loose threads, missed joints,."

"I called Cabela's about the sizing and they gave me the dimensions of the covers. No sizing for Honda, only American made like Evinrude, Mercury, etc. I picked the closest one for a 30 HP Honda and it fits, just a little big. Other than that, it does what it supposed to do - cover your engine hood. Cheap price to pay for something you couldn't make yourself for less. Protects the engine cover as it's designed to do."
