"Its' hard to find a quality scope for a small receiver like the Browning BL-22. The compact size of this scope does not over power the fine handling qualities of the BL-22. Picture is bright and clear. The adjustment are positive and parallex free at 50 yds, perfect for most .22 plinking. Its hard to beat this scope and Leupold's lifetime warranty is the best."

"Excellent scope, I have two Leupold scopes, one 2x7 and one 3x9 on one of my centerfire rifle. The results I acheived with my 3x9 on my 30-06 prompted me to buy the second. I purchased the 2x7 rimfiire for a new 22 long rifle because of the reduced parallax for use with closer ranges and my experience with Leupold's quality. I was a little conerned that the 28 mm objective would be too small, reducing the field of view, but it provides an excellent field of view and it is exceptionally bright. I was zeroed in 4 shots after bore sighting in my kitchen. When you can put one dead center at 75 yds in four shots, you will be very satisfied. You cannot go wrong with a Leupold and it has a life time warranty"

"This is a great scope and worth the extra money. You get what you pay for and you won't be disappointed. It's extremely clear and the crosshairs are perfect for me. I sighted it right in with no problems. I put this scope on my new Ruger stainless bull "hammer forged" barrel .22 rifle. I wanted to put together a "ray gun" and I got it. I will have this gun for the rest of my life and I'm glad I didn't get a cheaper scope. I usually only shoot leupold scopes as I've had such great luck with them. They've never failed me. I believe this one will not fail me either. Spend the extra money--it's worth it!"

"Have four of the FX-1 and VX-1 Leupold Rimfire 28mm Scopes. Tried many others but find these the best. Target is crystal clear from less that 25 yards to over a 100. The no-click elevation and windage adjusters take some getting used to but are 100% repeatable and precise. Will fit in low mount rings on most rifles. Have both the 4X Fixed and 2-7 Variable and much prefer the 2-7 because the eye relief tolerance envelop is wider. Reticle is near perfect for either target or hunting things like Squirrels and Groundhogs. These can also be used on 30-30s and other short range centerfires. The guts are tough and identical to the standard FX and VX-1s except for the 60 yard parallax zero. These are considerably lighter in weight than most of the other choices. Really like these."

"Image is great from center to edges, light transmission is good, my only complaint is that it does not have detents in either windage or elevation so it is difficult/impossible to accurately dial up for different range or condtions and return to your preset zero for your prefered bullet and distance. I have it mounted on a Ruger 10/22 with the Boyd Peper thumbhole and Volus??? .920 target barrel printing .625" or better @50 yards with target ammo."

"I put this scope on my Savage HMR .17 because I was not happy with the scope it came with, boy what a difference! The scope is much lighter, clearer, and makes the rifle more convenient, except for the 2 coyotes I got last weekend! Excellent scope at a reasonable price."

"This scope is extremely bright. In fact, almost too bright on a sunny day. The rather fine crosshair is great for a 22 or any rimfire. For the money, however, I would rather have a wider field of view with a full-size scope. Mine was mountain on a fullsize CZ 22. This scope would be better placed on a more compact rifle.
All this said, it is typical of Leupold quality; extremely clear, no distortion whatsoever, and did I say BRIGHT? Since squirrel hunting is usually done early in the morning and near dusk, it will be great for what I bought it for. For target shooting, get a target scope."
